Holy shit that is just mercilessly unfortunate. ._. Well, every thing you said and described about what happened and how you feel about it in this post...I say, should be what you express to your friend. But that's just me. If I were him, it would make ME feel better knowing all this. I have dogs. And I love them. I'm only trying to empathize here. Hypothetically role playing our limited internet buddy interaction of a relationship, I'd forgive you if I was in your friend's shoes. And he knows you in person and is dimensions closer to you than your internet chat buddy Knowmad. So I imagine he could come to similar understandings. The hard stuff comes after but I'D forgive you and understand.
Wow, I feel sad for you Molly. :[ Hope everything turns out well.
Don't hesitate to hit me up on AIM again if you want to chat. There isn't much else I can do but I'll gladly lend you an ear and support while you get through this.

I don't blame you, that's horrible. That poor little dog. I think it would traumatize any animal loving person to see that happen. I suppose I can't even say anything that would make you feel better either babe. I'm sorry that had to happen. I would agree to wait until your buddy is coming home to tell him. At least maybe he'll have a good honeymoon and not have it spoiled by the memory of his dog getting mauled. My thoughts are with you babe.

Well, all you can really do is tell your friend when he gets back. You tried to stop them, there's not much more you could have done considering the situation.

I'm terribly sorry for your loss, Maully. I know how much your dogs mean to you, especially Esther.
