Chapter 6: Finale
”mink whilst in the city I heard someone talking about you I mean they know its you whose the killer” Kalea pulled an uncomfortable face “I didn’t know what to do but in the end I stuck around and I joined their conversation I got their details and said I would had it in because one of them recognised me as being the detective that’s working on the case I know where they live if you want to, err, get rid of them? I'm sure that once they realise I haven’t handed the information in they’ll tell people they’ll start spreading it like they were when I found them I can only think how lucky it is that I found them” Kalea looked distressed and started to wring her hands, Mink looked infuriated “tell me the names and addresses of these people now!” she screeched, what an idiot thought Nate she fell for that so easily Hillary and Nethal could probably see through it but they didn’t care much for Mink she bossed everyone around and was just generally mean to them this was obviously a plan to catch Mank and all of them apart from Mank herself seemed to realise this but like he thought nobody really cared anymore, let her run to her death, only good could come out of it Nate felt his heart jump but if Mank died then he wouldn’t have a family Hillary didn’t like humans and Nethal didn’t like them either plus he didn’t really want to live with those two they were both self-centred and mean his parents had been killed by Mank she had tried to hide it she had lied about it but he knew she had disguised herself has a young girl just like Kalea had done the little girl had changed forms and turned into the person he now calls Mank he knew her name was Mink but he knew that she hated being called Mank or Manky some days he wishes that Mank had killed him it would be a better fate than being stuck with her he hated her but he found the mythical creatures slightly amazing when he first saw Kalea he thought she might be an escape for him one day but then she did the same thing as Mank, turning into a child, and he changed his mind he woke up from his daydream to Mank screeching still she was about to leave “Kalea! You’re coming as well! I’ll need you to kill the other family! This will prove if your to be trusted or not!” Kalea looked terrified “but, but I’m just a child!” her face was looking more and more panicked as time went on “well tough you’ll have to look grown up”
”but!” Kalea tried to get out of the argument by running over to Hillary who shooed her off “Kalea just do it now!” there was no arguing with Mink and Kalea had no other choice but to slope off with Mink, Nate slumped down against a rock and gave up all hope, he didn’t care what happened to him anymore he watched Kalea walking off into the trees when she was almost out of sight she turned around, her way of saying goodbye probably.
She looked at Mink the whole not wanting to kill the family was an act in reality she needed to go there she needed to make sure Mink went to the right house “look ill go to number 36 Acorn Avenue OK?
