Detective Novel Chapter 8

“actually a few weapons were left this family here” she turned the screen to face her on the screen there was a picture more mutilated bodies a child in pyjama’s had been repeatedly bashed against a wall until she died she also had a fire poker pinning her to the wall “wait that poker, surely it has fingerprints?” it was too obvious
“that’s the thing, the problem is it has no finger prints on, but the mother who was killed by being strangled, by hand, to death her neck showed no fibres or burn marks from the fabric so either the murderer put on gloves to pick up the poker and took them off to kill by hand or they don’t have finger prints and in which case we would probably be looking at a member of the supernatural” Nate watched her reaction “no this isn't the supernatural, they would have no need to kill people like this and we all have really strict morals that wouldn’t allow us to do anything like that, even vampires they would only bite their necks and wouldn’t waste that much blood” she frowned
“I think I have a solution” Satu murmured “think about it, if your really involved in this like if it was what you were going to spend your last bit of life doing it wouldn’t hurt to burn off your finger prints would it?” both of them looked at him with surprise “that’s to true! I cant believe I didn’t think of it before” it was so obvious now if you knew you were going to be caught one day then it wouldn’t matter if you burnt off your finger prints or the whole palm of your hand to hide any evidence of prints but the thing was, why would someone go through all that pain to murder people? Surely you could be doing better things with your life? If you’re not happy with your own life you cant just go around and ruin other peoples. “I'm going out for a bit like I said” she rubbed her temples “I need the fresh air and my legs are so stiff, I can go to the shop on the way either of you want anything?” it was nice to have the old Kalea back.
