Pandora's good for discovering new music based on your tastes, but if you have obscure tastes, it's pretty crappy. If you just want to stream music, try Grooveshark.
Really? I find that whenever I make a station, it'll play songs by every artist on the planet except the one I made the station with (like my "The Brilliant Green" station plays everything but songs by them).
I think I've heard a song by The Cranberries. I can't remember if I've heard a David Bowie song... the only thing I remember about David Bowie is that he played the warlock (?) guy in "Labyrinth," and he's very obscurely related to Keba Si Rota (though you won't find that on the internet).
There are a lot of great artists right now who got their start in the early 2000s, but they're too good to get airtime, and most people with taste assume that they're too new to be any good, so they get ignored. The only really good artist who's still popular is Adele. She's so weird. She's ridiculously talented, and yet she's got songs in the top charts. It's a complete contradiction of how pop music works.
I've heard some surprisingly coherent arguments for destroying the moon, but if people like it I'll keep it around. And thank you for the hair tips, I'll keep them in mind. I was also raised on rock, my favorite band up until the eighth grade was the Beatles. So when I first heard pop music, it was kind of a culture shock. It's pretty much the sound equivalent of a flashing light.
Pandora can be very frustrating. Sometimes it plays great mixes, and sometimes it plays random stuff. What's weird about it is no matter what station you make, it always plays bands like Nirvana and Muse. Somewhere in the annals of Pandora is a really big Muse fan.
If you like U2, you should give David Bowie a shot. I'm a big U2 fan, so I'm trying to think of artists you might like. Franz Ferdinand is pretty great too, and The Cranberries.

I know how you feel....my hair is like that too >.< I finally sai screw it to my frizzy curly hair and bought a straightener from walmart. Mine was only $40 and it works just as good as the expensive ones. Something you can do to make it look nice even when not straightened is parting in the side instead of the middle and use a light amount of gel or defrizzing spray to keep it looking nice. That's what I do and my husband loves it. xD
I love your list too btw xD but please don't destroy the moon...imagining what that would do to the tides is terrifying x.x I also agree about the "music" out now -_- it's just flat out terrible. My husband and I listen to a lot of rise against and older stuff. I was raised on rock and country....(not to big on country really but there are a few songs I love like Hurt) and the music out now...it just doesn't compare. =/ it makes me sad really. I love Japanese music as well.
Hahaha, half your list is on my list. Except getting a scanner, destroying the moon, conquering Australia, and killing Hitler. And obviously the planning of Witchfire. Cuz then I would be stealing. And I don't steal. *innocent look*
I gotta agree with the whole "pop is crud 98% of the time" thing. I prefer indie, rock, and Japanese music. Though I am trying to listen to bands like U2, Coldplay, and the like. Pandora just takes awhile to come up with stuff I like (or end up liking after listening to it).

Frankly, they have a pretty limited library, so depending on your tastes, Pandora may just not be the way to go.
