Don't go to SuperCuts! Ever again! (Though you've already realized this...)
If you have a GreatCuts nearby, then go there! I get my hair cut at GreatCuts, and it always turns out the way I want it (partly because I stick to one stylist, so I know her well). Bring pictures of the style you want, and make sure you talk to the stylist about exactly how you want it to turn out. If she (or he) is worth her salt, then she'll be able to get it as close to perfect as humanly possible.
I went in GreatCuts looking like Hermione once too, and had it cut chin-length on the sides and really short in the back (which was fun to spike up with gel ^^), and it turned out awesomely because I talked it out with the stylist before she even thought of breakin' out the scissors.
