my advice is to kick her out the habbit now b4 its to late lol.... i'm lucky my mum is only just realising I am a full grown adult now and I am going on a two week holiday with my mate to Berlin this year... so thank gawd for chillaxing a little more now lol XD
"Nine times out of ten"? I'm sorry Laura but that must be one rough place where you grew up, just saying, 'cause that seems like an incredible exaggeration to me.
I've just forced her to let me go, because she asked one of her friends and they said she was being unreasonable, so that put a spanner in her works. The guys that will be there are two of my good friends, plus parents will be there AND one of the dudes' little sister will be at home too. My mother knows better than to assume i'm the kind of person who'd get drunk out of my mind and then do that *shrugs*
She is only trying to protect you. I can understand her position. My mother would never let me do that. Even if this case may be different, nine times out of ten there have been situations where mixed sexes gathering overnight ended up being drunken sex fests. Perhaps your mother and you can reach a compromise? Perhaps hang out but when it gets late you go home? Either way it could be a trust booster if you comply with that compromise.
Six-year-olds and nuclear weapons: a combination that just can't be beat.
She's only just started letting me get buses on my own, and wont let me get trains on my own to the poshest safest area on the entire freaking planet. Because i'm totally going to be kidnapped and raped in the middle of posh land filled with my dad's kind of people where i bloody grew up. *slow clap for my mother*

Totally over the top protective. I've never been a fan of parents being like that to an unreasonable extent.
