I find them fun to use, mostly because I like to use them though.^^;
Yeah, why bother hiding it? It's very rude to say it's yours when it's not fully. I mean how you edited it is yours, but not the base itself. 's rude to the person who made the base. but then again, a lot of base-makers use popular pictures and outline them and such.|D;;
In some ways it might help them, but I know what you mean.^^ I used to re-draw the bases (I only put one up to show, and i STILL said i used a base XD )and it helped me just a bit with proportions.
Nah, it's fine!:D Sometimes it's nice to talk to people who have noticed the same thing!^^
Though, there are a couple of artists on here who do use paint to draw, and there has been someone I've been debating about with if they use bases or not.>>' because one picture they have isn't done on the computer and it looks like the paint style they use. Most of the time it's obvious, but then every now and then it's a bit hard.
Sorry for commenting twice, I'll leave you be now.^^
Yup, using bases from time to time is alright (I even used a couple a year or so ago), as long as the original is credited, but it just bums me out when people try to hide it. xD
And it's not like I hate people who use them too often, it's just a shame that they refuse to put the effort into it that they should I guess. I mean, they could be one of the most amazing artists in the world if they didn't slow themselves down.
Sorry, I'm ranting. ;w;'''
On the front page?Whoa. I only use bases from time to time, but only if I can't draw for crap on paper during that time, or just for fun, but I ALWAYS put the link to the base and say I just edit it.
.x. but I never put them up on here, unless up on my world.
Yeah, sometimes it really does help people, it helps me time to time, but people should be using them for a 'shortcut' like you said.

Bases? You mean like an outline instead of drawing it free-hand??? If so, then I agree.
