Przewalski's Horse
Recently, I drew a character for a contest so i decided to research the animal. (I now have a mild obsession) The przewalski's wild horse other times known as the Taki, mongolian wild horse, and also asiatic wild horse grows from 10-13 hands (slightly over 4ft) at the shoulders when it is full grown. it has a dull copper colored coat with a dorsal stripe down its back, a black or gray muzzle, black mane and tail, and usually striped legs. their manes stand naturally straight up. Their bodies are muscular and stocky with short legs and a broad chest.
Fun Facts!
1. these horses are one of the three types of horses that all others originated from and the only one to survive in its pure form.
2. it is the only horse in existance to have 66 instead of 64 chromosomes
3. it is extinct in the wild
4. there are roughly 1,000 of these critically endangered animals around the world.
5. It has nver been domesticated/tamed so it is purely wild.
6. it was named after Colonel Przewalski, a russian explorer after he discovered them near his campsite
