Chapter 5: We’re in the digital world???
“You got it too?” I looked over at Sasuke as he was looking at his cell phone. I didn’t even know that he had a cell phone.
I nodded, What about you guys?” I asked turning around to look at the twins and Yuki.
They nodded, “What do you think we should do?” Sebastian asked.
It was quiet between the five of us for a few minuets as we looked at our cell phones. “You know what. It never hurts to try.” I stated and hit the reply button and type in yes then hit send.
“It’s probably some prank that we’re all going to laugh about in the end anyways.” Yuki shrugged and did the same.
Steven sighed, “If something bad happens I’m blaming you two.” He said then answered to the text.
“I haven’t really done anything all that interesting in a while so I don’t see why not.” Sasuke commented as he replied to the message.
Sebastian replied to it as well, “I can’t be left out now can I?” He smiled a little.
All of our phones seemed to go off at the same time. I opened the message. “Welcome to the game.” I read and then I was blinded by the light on my phone.
I put my arm over my eyes to try to be able to see, but I still ended up closing my eyes. The next thing I heard was the sound of a train. I opened my eyes slowly and moved my arm away to look around. “How did we get on a train?” I muttered sticking my phone in my pocket.
Sasuke looked around as he flipped his phone closed, “Where have I seen this before…” I heard him say under his breath.
“How did we get here?” Steven ask.
I noticed that everyone was still together. It was good that we didn’t get separated. I was worried about that when I was blinded by that light. “Is everyone okay?” I asked.
“I think so, but what happened?” Yuki asked going to go and look out the window when we hit a tunnel and it became pitch black on the train.
“Everyone don’t move, I’ll tell you where to go.” Steven said making sure that none of us would get hurt.
Sasuke made a small flame in his hand that lit up where he was. “I know where we are, we’re on a…” Before Sasuke could finish it felt like an earth quake hit us and all I went stumbling back onto a seat and I heard some people hit the floor.
The rumbling and the darkness lasted for about a minuet until we emerged from the tunnel. I had to close my eyes quickly because of how bright the light was. My eyes adjusted back to normal after I blinded a few times.
“Is everyone okay?” I asked seeing that Sasuke and Yuki fell to the floor during that…whatever that was.
“I think so.” Sasuke said sitting up. “I wasn’t expecting that.” He said.
“Guys…look.” Steven said and I looked over at him to see what he was talking about.
There were plains of open grass and fields of flowers that were going past. Then something strange started showing up. Some sort of monsters were flying along.
“Guys…I think we’re in the digital world…and that we’re the new digi destines.” Sasuke said holding out what should have been his phone but was a red device with black trim and grip.
I dug into my pocket and found that my phone wasn’t in my pocket any more. I pulled out a sky blue with black trim device that looked just like Sasuke’s.
“But…how…why?” Sebastian couldn’t think of the right worlds looking at his black device in this hands.
I looked over at Sasuke and he was pressing some buttons on the device. “What are you doing?” I asked a bit confused.
“I’m seeing if we have our digi spirits or if we have to go and find them. I’ll have Agunimon because of being fire. I remember this from the last time I was here, but during that time I was with Takuya and he was the digidestin.” He explained.
“Then that would mean I would get Kumamon.” Yuki added in.
“Oh come on why do I get a girl spirit?” I asked a bit flustered. “Since I’m a wind elemental I get Kazemon…but my mom had Kazemon when she was a digidestin…does that mean that I get another spirit or did something happen to the spirit.” I muttered to myself the last part.
“I can’t find Lobomon.” Steven said and I looked up at him.
“So I guess we have to find our spirits.” Sebastian said.
“But we have one advantage over the first time that your parents were here. We’re also elementals so we should be able to take care of ourselves until we find them.” Sasuke mentioned putting his d-tector back in his pocket.
“But, we don’t really know how to use our powers.” Yuki answered.
“That’s why as soon as we get off, I’m going to help you four start training with your powers. I don’t know how long it is going to take for us to find our spirits, but I’ll be damned if I let you four try to make it through this place without having some way to defend yourselves.” Sasuke answered.
“But now the question is just where are we going? And when is this train going to stop?” I asked looking out the window behind me and up at the sky.
So it was our turn to save the digital world. I wonder if our parents will notice us being gone. And just how long are we going to be away? There were so many questions that I wanted answered. I just hope that when we get off there will be someone that will be able to explain things to us.
It felt like we were on the train for about an hour before the train stopped and the doors opened for us to get off. When we walked off the train we were in some sort of town. It was really quiet. There was no one and nothing around.
“Where is everyone?” Sebastian asked.
“I don’t know…” I answered looking around.
“Let’s get going. I think we need to go this way.” Sasuke said taking the lead. He’s been here before so it would make since that he would somewhat know where to go.
“Where are we going?” We’re trying to get somewhere out of town so that I can start training you guys.” Sasuke mentioned.
“Should we be looking for or digi spirits?” Steven asked.
“Look since we’re elementals, I don’t even know if they are going to work for us.” Sasuke turned towards us and put his hands on his hips. “The last time I was here I was stuck in Takyua and every time I tried to use the digi spirits all I got was a boost in my fire abilities and some sort of armor. I didn’t actually change into the digimon.” Sasuke explained.
“Well now you’re the digidestin so it may be different this time Sasuke. You hold the device, not my father.” I mentioned.
“I know…We’re looking for a big tree that’s where we should find Ophanimon.” Sasuke said letting his arms rest at his sides.
“Then let’s get going, we can’t find it just standing here. We should ask someone where to go.” I smiled.
“Right.” Sasuke nodded and turned around.
None of us were paying attention because there was someone standing in front of us and Sasuke bumped into whatever it was. He stumbled back towards us. “I’m sorry.” Sasuke apologized.
“What are you doing here Sasuke?” I couldn’t believe it…I was looking right at Agunimon.
“A-Agunimon…It’s been a while. What’s going on?” Sasuke asked trying not to sound surprised.
“Sasuke, why are you here? I thought that the link between the Academy and the digital world was sealed.” He commented.
“I was in the human world. I wasn’t at the academy.” Sasuke answered.
“That still doesn’t explain why you’re here and who are these kids with you?” Agunimon asked.
“Oh right this is Jack, Yuki, Steven, and Sebastian. Jack is Takuya’s son, Yuki is Tommy’s son, and Steven and Sebastian are Koji’s sons.” Sasuke introduced us.
“But why was I not able to get in contact with Takuya?” Agunimon questioned.
Sasuke pulled out his D-tector and showed it to Agunimon. “Because there’s a new generation of digidestin’s Agunimon.” Sasuke replied.
Agunimon just stood there shocked and didn’t say anything.
“What’s going on? Why are we here?” Yuki spoke up and asked Agunimon.
“Agunimon…you know something don’t you?” Sasuke stated. “That’s why you were trying to get in contact with Takuya again.”
Agunimon didn’t say anything at first. It looked like he was trying to find the right way to respond. He took a deep breath and then he spoke, “This world is falling into darkness. We are not strong enough to stop it on our own. Things have already been happening to some of the legendary warriors. That’s why I was trying to get in touch with Takuya to see if he could help…Things will be different this time…” Agunimon explained.
“How will they be different?” Sasuke asked.
“Sasuke you know full well what happened the last time you were here. You couldn’t complete digivolve. You could not become me. Your souls merged instead of you becoming a digimon.” Agunimon said.
“But things should be different. Sasuke is the digidestin of fire this time not my father.” I spoke up.
Agunimon looked over at me with intense eyes but I didn’t back down. “When you find your spirit we will test you to see if you are worthy of becoming a digidestin and holding our spirits in your D-tectors. It is the only way to make sure that you all can make it through this also being in the D-tector’s keeps our spirits from being tainted by the evil that lays in the darkness.”
“So lets get going then.” Sasuke spoke up and took a step closer to Agunimon. “I’m your opponent Agunimon. I’ll show you that I’m worthy of being the digidestin of fire.” I saw the determination in Sasuke’s eyes as he looked Agunimon square in the eyes. He wasn’t going to back down.
“I accept your challenge Sasuke Kaisai. Come at me with everything you’ve got.” Agunimon smirked.
This was the que for Yuki, Steve, Sebastian, and myself to step back so that we wouldn’t get in the way. Sasuke took a step back slightly then started spinning and moving his hands as if he was wielding a weapon. Flames erupted from his hands and extended out in a straight line and connected in the center. The flame dissipated to reveal a crimson red with black flames at the end staff in his hands. Sasuke stopped spinning and stuck the staff out towards Agunimon.
“Let’s get this party started.” I heard a confidence and a bit of cockiness in Sasuke’s tone as he got into a fighting stance.
