It's been really long since I wrote here last, so some news about me to begin with. All the exams are passed quite successfully, so I'm looking forward to my studies in the university.
And now I'm enjoying the rest of my holidays in Karlovy Vary. I had excursions in Prague and Dresden, wonderful places, highly recommend them to everyone who happen to come here.
And since I have a new cell phone with wonderful applications I returned to reading manga :3
Never say never, so I am back enjoying it after a long break (I have no idea how I'll catch up with Naruto or Bleach @.@), though without that crazy enthusiasm.
This time I began with PandoraHearts and I don't regret it. Nice art and more and more intriguing plot. However it took me a chapter to relearn all the names ^^`
Well, the second series was DeadmanWonderland. And my pond break seems to have affected the impression of this manga. So many mysteries were revealed in several chapters that I couldn't help feeling disappointed. Nevertheless the right dark and depressing atmasphere remains.
The third one was StrayLoveHearts. And what a unlucky surprise it was. I picked this manga because wanted something as mysterious and complicated as the previous ones but lighter. And it was light and bright but extremely simple. Of course, the fact that I had stopped on a turning point of the plot when the last room was left played its role. But I never expected it to turn out that sweet. The main villain was unexpected but unexplained and illogical. The main romance was obvious from the very beginning but any other variants were gone too soon. Looks like it was finished in a hurry. At least I hope that the ongoing ... of ... will be more successful, though unfortunately, vampires are not my favourite topic =.=
Anyway, AreYouAlice? and Code:Breaker are waiting for me in my library now *.*
Caught up with Are you Alice?. Amazing manga! I don't remember if I wrote about it here. Anyway, it's absolutely wonderful. There are many manga based on Alice in Wonderland (and I understand it: brilliant characters and great opportunities for interpretations and variations). In my opinion, this manga is one of the best of them. Beautiful art, mystery, awesome characters and some kind of physological game. Highly recommend reading it! However, it requires suitable mood to enjoy it most. I'm a fan of such stories but still I don't read it as soon as a new chapter appears though I'm always waiting for it.
And another manga with similar atmosphere (you see, I'm in that mood today ^^) but more cruel one DeadmanWonderland (everything mysterious and dark associated with Wonderland...). I was obsessed with this manga some time ago but haven't read a chapter since about spring, I guess... So it's time for it now. That is why I've just noticed that my favourite Crow is on the cover of 8th volume (so many already!) and 35th chapter from which I began reading DW today is mainly about him as well. Impressive manga all in all. And what I had been waiting for so long happened at last.
Btw, speaking about these manga reminded of two other of this kind. The first one is Doubt. Cruel-detective-mystery-game. Definitely a must-read for fans of this genre. Although, the mangaka tried to make the end so unguessible that overdid it a bit. But that's only my opinion.
The second one is X/1999 by CLAMP. One of my favoutes though I read it long ago. I know that some people don't like CLAMP's art but for me it was incredible there. It made the whole story look more graceful and tragic. The story itself is cruel enough with lots of interesting characters and complicated relationships. But. Manga is unfinished. And I don't think we should expect it to be ^^. Personally I believe that any ending will spoil it and it is amazing as it is. But you may argue, of course.
I didn't feel like posting anything this time, I even didn't really want to read new WSJ chapters this week but I did. ^_^
New Bleach is unbelievable! Not only that Yamamoto have been able to fight for more than 2 chapters in a row and Aizen had shocked expression again but it looks like Ichi-chan is ready for his blow! I just can't believe it! On one hand, it's impossible for Bleach to leave the decisive blow without a wordy speech, on the other hand, the situation needs immediate solution (and it must be the only chance for Gotei to win the battle). Too comlicated @.@
At first Naruto seemed to get boring again (the great battle failed, too much talking again) but dirty thoughts saved it, hehe. So Naruto appeared to be smarter than Sasuke and finally understood their real relationship! He won't leave Sasuke to anyone but as there is no other way Naruto has to kill his dear Sasu-chan and die with him himself so they "won't be Kyubi and Uchiha" but Romeo and Juliet of ninja world. Ta-da! *In the background Sakura is quietly weeping* XD
Bakuman has never been so strange! That conversation with Azuki (I hardly believe in such relationships all in all and Azuki's complains about everything Mashiro does and doeas not irritate me :/ ), suspisious words about love on the last page. I'm intrigued.
Chapter 30 of Deadman Wonderland came out finally. Though nothing much to say about it...
I saw Alice in Wonderland (a movie) with my mother yesterday. And I'm getting more and more disappointed in modern plots. No, not exactly like that. I mean the story told in the movie wasn't that bad except for the fact... there was practically nothing from L.Carroll's book. And the same was with Sherlock Holmes. Both of them are quite exciting movies as long as I don't remember what they are based on.
Ok, I'll return to manga then ^^
How could I miss ch78 of Code:Breaker? Anyway both ch78 and 79 were awsome. I don't like Ogami's brother in his true form, not gentle at all :P Why didn't Toki-kun do anything great at all?! Well, he said some tragic words at least...
Defence Devil 39 is a sweet chapter, hehe.
Does anybody know about ch30-31 of Deadman Wonderland?
I looked through my reading list: I only have to finish Hot Gimmick and catch up with Kuroshitsuji and then I can return to the rest of my unfinished manga.
