I guess I'm on the 6th book then...because Soul of the Fire was the last book I read. Gosh, I need to keep track of what books I read.XD
I'm like you when it comes to food. People make fun of me that I must not eat anything because I'm so skinny but those who know me know that I'm constantly hungry and eating! Well, it's more-so that I can only eat small portions at a time and I think my metabolism is just so fast that I can't keep up with it.XD I'm not petite though...5'9" is too tall to be considered "petite"...I'm just called, "scrawny," or "twiggy," "sticks."
I had a friend who was reading the books at the same time I was. He said Soul Of The Fire was kind of dull, but the next one, Faith Of The Fallen, was better.
I just started the fifth book today: Soul of the Fire. I had heard rumors about a mini series only my understanding was that the author was being very strict about them not doing major editing on it. I hope that's true, that book would be so easy to totally ruin by cutting things out.
As for myO, yeah, just about everyone that I talk to posts here at theO. So there's really no need for me to bother with both.
Now as for the cooking, it's probably a good thing for me. I have a hard time keeping my weight where it should be. I'm always getting lectured by my doctor. It's not like I don't eat though. >_> I'm just tiny and petite and for whatever reason, I lose weight far easier than I gain it.
Oh man!!! I LOVE the Sword of Truth series!!! I go through those books so fast! I think I'm on the 5th book now...lol! I can't remember since it's been awhile since I've had a chance to read and when I do, I've been starting other series.XD And have you seen that they're making a mini-series of Wizard's First Rule? You can go onto imdb.com and they have a little info about it. Very little since I think it's very early in production. I think the actor for Richard looks a LOT like the illustrations on the covers. I can't wait but hope they don't butcher it.
Haha! Well, thank you. For me, I want to be able to still meet new people but don't want to lose contacts with those who only update on myO and it's really no problem to jump back and forth and copy and paste the same post twice. I do get what you're saying though...if all your friends are over here, than why keep up your account on myO?
Uh-oh...that could be a curse indeed. Maybe that's why I've always stayed scrawny...I've never been around people who can cook.XD I'd love to try some of her cookies though...I'm a big chocolate chip cookie fan. Nummers.
I was surprised by that error message, though seeing that you have to be logged in to comment here I guess I shouldn't have been surprised by it. About the only thing it does is mean I won't be worrying about making friends on that side of the site.
You've certainly been addicted to those books by Goodkind. It makes me wish he wasn't graphic. T_T You seem to have so much fun reading them!
Hehe! Don't you know that the secret to staying thin is to fatten everyone else up by feeding them? :p I'm glad you like it though. It's good to get a second and third opinion on what you make so you'll know what to fix if it doesn't turn out right.
Don't look at me like that. >_> I am not using you as a guinea pig to test my cooking... *shot*
That's the reason why I stick to theOtaku. I'm staff and I think it would set a bad example if I posted and it left newer members out. So I keep it because of the fond memories, not because I intend to post in myOtaku, at least not so long as new members can't join and comment.
I'll wait and see what happens further down the road, though if I do post there again. It will be the same post for both sections. New members don't need to be dragged into the drama of only supporting one side. So using the one that both can freely use is what makes the most sense to me.
You need to stop being lazy and learn how to cook!
I understand what you mean bout the submissions, now, every time I put up a new one. I take down one of the old ones. Heh.
What did you think of Blood Of The Fold? I didn't really like as much as the first two books. Heh, let's hope you actually finish Temple Of The Winds, unlike me.
I enjoyed it. I found the Mord-Sith very entertaining actually. I'm certain that I'll finish the fourth book since I'm already a hundred pages into Temple of the Winds.
Oh, and did you get freaked out in Stone Of Tears when it looked like Zedd was going to kill Kahlan? @_@
Actually that whole things seemed so out of character for Zedd that I was pretty certain that she was not dead. It so did not fit at all. Heh.

That's a very good point that I don't think anyone arguing against VV has ever thought about. By continuing to use MyO almost exclusively, they're cutting out a whole bunch of people. Meanies...

Yeah, that is a problem. Members who are new after the change can’t do anything other than read at myOtaku. That’s not why I turned my page off though. >_> Still I don’t plan on updating it anymore and I don’t really bother to comment over there either.
Anyway, cooking is fun! You should try it! :p I enjoy making stuff too. Hehe.
Hmmm. I have a few submissions that probably could go, though I’m not interested in hunting to find them. Maybe I will one of these days.
I’ve seen plenty of people stick exclusively to myOtaku. I don’t bother with it anymore since I rarely have time to post anyway, but I had forgotten that you do have to be logged in if you wish to comment.
As a member who has been around for a while, it never occurred to me to remember that all the newer members would be unable to use it. Now that you mention it, it’s pretty obvious that they would be unable to.
It is supremely ironic that the drive to stick to myOtaku is also alienating anyone new to the site since it’s not their fault that they can’t join myOtaku. Perhaps I’ll go and turn my profile off over there as well since I don’t update over there anymore anyway.
I’ve considered reading Goodkind, but I do worry about just how graphic it will get. >_>
I think it’s funny that Sabrina cooks. lol
I don’t have as many submissions as you do, but there are a few I’ve thought of getting rid of. Perhaps when I’m not feeling lazy, I’ll do so.
Nope, as Sabrina found out it gives you this error message:
You must be logged in to comment
I never thought about it, but I'm a member. Now that I know that, until that option is available, I have no intention of using or commenting on myOtaku.
