I rarely get that screen, but then as I've told you before, staying updated and protecting your computer does wonders. =P It is nice when a problem is that easily resolved though.
I'll be explaining that vibe I got in a bit. Fortunately it was not dragged off into a tangent that would have ruined it in my opinion. There is nothing worse that spending that much time on a show only for them to mess the ending up. =P
Well I finished it, I'll put my thoughts out in a post in a bit here. However as for the other... The main reason I was seeing that was on account of the parallels and comparisons between Johann and the AntiChrist. Those comparisons being Napoleon Bonaparte and Adolf Hitler of course.
Having seen the end I am please to see that they were merely playing on people's fears or rather showing how Johann played on those fears to create chaos.
If they had gone the other direction... I would have been seriously ticked off. Because doing that would have been lame in my opinion. Anyway, I'll save the rest for my post. =P
Ironically, shortly after I joined this site, I was upgrading to XP and Beth, who has worked in tech support before, told me the same thing. That people didn't update, they weren't cautious about what they downloaded and installed, they just blamed Microsoft for their own ignorance.
So I made a point of keeping up with updates, being more informed before installing stuff and net result... Three and a half years of no computer issues at all. Or rather none that I caused I should say. =P
I don't actually deem spoiler tags necessary, but still...
Johann is a screwed up, evil human, but that's all. It's not really a spoiler, since not everyone would be getting the vibe you did, me included. What's so amazing is that they were able to keep everything freaky insane while still remaining semi-plausible.

How stable Windows is for any given person mainly depends on their hardware setup and drivers and what they do with their PC. Even as far back as Windows NT4, I rarely got BSoD's that weren't hardware/driver related (that old motherboard did not like running with only one stick of RAM in it), and if I was just browsing the net, listening to music, and doing the usual daily stuff it would run fine, 24/7, for weeks straight. If they rarely put any stress on their hardware and don't install new programs often, it's not really surprising that Vista would run smoothly 99% of the time.

Indi, you don't have to read this if you absolutely, 100 percent do not want to be spoiled, even for a little thing, but Johan, while a horrible, terrible human being, is not the Anti-Christ. There is nothing supernatural about Monster's ending. Actually, even though the series is obviously amplified for dramatic effect, it's still clearly grounded in reality.
My buddy who works at Microsoft tells me he never ever has computer issues with Windows or whatever, and basically says the main reason people do have issues is because they don't keep all their drivers and such updated (especially in light of Windows' automatic updates and stuff) or straight-up because they install bad things onto their machines. I'm willing to believe that - it is a multi-thousand dollar piece of equipment, after all, still needs to be taken care of.
You ever check out this whole "Windows Mojave" experiment they did a little while ago? It's kind of interesting to look up, even with its inherent faults and stuff.
I guess I'm the lucky person since I rarely have issues? I think the only one I had was when my motherboard died. XD I had to turn my computer in for four days, but I got it back in good working order. I'm glad yours was so easily fixed. ^_^
I fall in that category of person who rarely has issues. So when they do happen, it is really annoying because you're used to things working just fine. Having it be something that is resolved that quickly is always a plus.
I can imagine. I know some people have more serious issues. I'm mainly referring to the population that doesn't and then flies off the handle when they do have an issue.
Also, I've heard of program conflicts before, just as I've heard that third party support in India (which a lot of companies do) sucks royally. At least it's finally fixed yes?
I sincerely hope so with Monster I'll spoiler tag it but my suspicions run along the lines of AntiChrist themes and I sincerely hope they don't go stupid with that. If they do, I'm going to be annoyed since I've really enjoyed it so far.
It's had it's flaws, but they've been minor enough to overlook so they haven't spoiled the show yet.
For several months, I got the BSoD every time I restarted my computer. I seriously wanted to murder every single person affiliated with Dell (of course part of that was their customer service >.<). Finally found out it was a conflict caused by my antivirus software mucking up the works with Windows. Tore every last vestige of that thing from my system, (still within my paid coverage or not) installed Avast and haven't had BSoD since. Yeah, that only had me in a state of constant rage for the better part of half a year. >.< noob
Monster = perfection. Including the ending. I seriously want to re-watch that show. O_O

It's always nice when a problem is resolved that quickly. I think the biggest thing that gets people so frustrated is that occasional problem takes a while to fix.

I've never gotten the infamous blue screen of which so many friends speak. Windows and Windows Vista have always done good for me, so screw it.
And I see that Shin, Drift and whoever have managed to suck in yet another.
