WOOHOO
[sings]I'm gettin' my license. I'm gettin' my license! WOOHOO! I'm going on Thursday to fill out the paperwork and such for my driver's license!! That's so awesome! I've been driving a lot over spring break to try to get in my hours and my parents are finally going to let me and my sister get our licenses!! I can drive without anyone in the front seat! I'm so excited! I won't have to get up so early to go to school, nor will I have to stay late! I can drive myself to dance class! We can go where we want to! Yay! Freedom! Ok, not total freedom but still--this is a teenage milestone, I can be excited about it.
Stay off the sidewalks, people! Just kidding. I'm a good driver. [laughs]
Ok, yeah nothing else interesting has happened in my life besides that... I'm so bored.
Happy Easter
Happy Easter everybody! Even if you aren't religious, get over it. Happy. Easter.
A very good friend of mine, he's probably my best guy friend, is coming over for dinner. He recently moved away but he randomly comes back to town to visit. He's here this weekend and so my mom told me to text him and get him to come over for Easter dinner. So he's coming! Yay! We should've asked him to make his chocolate chess pie. That pie is like from heaven. Seriously. The boy can cook. It's crazy. One day he's going to get married and she's going to be a very happy woman. [laughs]
I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but this summer I'm going on a missions trip to Mexico. I'm a little worried about flying there, because I've never flown before--but then again it's going to be worth it. We're going to a place where we're going to do a lot of outreach with the kids. I'm so excited to be able to play with them and everything. I'm sure it's going to be awesome....
Alright, everybody, have a good day!
...
Soooooooooo....as of like 5 minutes ago Ink has a date for junior prom. Hooray for me. So, the guy who liked Ink who became Ink's boyfriend who then became Ink's ex-boyfrined is now Ink's prom date. Yeah, I made sure to give the qualifier that even though we're going to prom together, doesn't under any circumstances mean that we're dating again. He was pretty cool with that--sounded a little disappointed, but still surprised that I'd said yes. We talked on the phone for about 10 minutes and he saved that as the very last thing to ask me right as we were about to say goodbye, I think he was afraid I'd say no... He's a sweet guy, I just didn't want a relationship at the time and I didn't want to lead him on and hurt him. I don't think I'll start dating him again; I'd rather wait until I get to college. Wait to find some bigger fish, so to speak. We're in a very small pond here in my home town, there are slim pickings of boys 'round these parts. But at least I have a date for prom. I don't have to go be alone all night. That's cool.
Anyways, I'm finally on my spring break. We had a half a day of school today and then we have all of next week off. That's so awesome. I'm so tired, I need a break. I don't think we have any remarkable plans. We have a youth benefit to prepare for next Saturday, and some other stuff, but mostly I plan on being a bum, sleeping, maybe doing some shopping. Maybe I'll get some writing done. Maybe I'll work on my college search. Who knows.
...
I'm ditching school today. Though it's not for fun stuff, so it's not really ditching... Anyways, I have to go get my passport picture done, go down to the courthouse and drop off my passport application and then go to the doctor. Which is just fabulous if you ask me. I think I'm supposed to be getting some shots, too. Great. I think I need my tetnus shot and maybe some other stuff because I'm going on a missions trip to Mexico this summer. Which also happens to be why I need a passport. So, not really a fun day, but oh well.
And then I have ballet class tonight. Which I'm not looking forward to at all. My classmates made me cry [sob, actually] on Saturday, because of picture day. It was dumb and I shouldn't have cried--but they left me out, and then laughed at me. LAUGHED at me. Who has the audacity to laugh at another person maliciously? I was so upset. So, I'm really not looking forward to class today. Ugh.
At least it's almost spring break. That's next week. And I think I might get to ditch some more school this week because my cousin and his girlfriend are visiting over his spring break so he's staying with his sister who lives about 2 hours away from my family--so we all might get together and hang out for a day. It should be fun. I really want to see him. Haven't seen him since the summer.
OK, update. I fee like crap. Just got back from the doctor, and I had to have three shots, my tetnus shot, hepatitis A, and meningitis. My arms hurt from where the needles were and I feel kind of sick-ish now. ARGH.
Kids...gotta love 'em...or we'd kill 'em.
So, I know I rant about my dance kids a lot. But they're 14 kids and the 2 of us teachers. It's crazy. So today, I didn't got home late--and so I had to rush around to get ready for work. [I had about two minutes to get ready.] And so I didn't even mess with a leotard or any of that crap [because leotards suck anyways] so I just grabbed a pair of my sister's long shorts and a band-T that I got at a concert a couple of months ago. So the other teacher ditched me for a little bit, so it was me and the kids as we did warm-up exercises, and one of the little girls turns to me and says, "That's a boy's shirt." I was like, seriously? Geez, kid. So I said, "I got it at a concert they didn't have any girls shirts so I got this one." She was not appeased by my answer. So it was Ink vs. the 6 year-old. Throughout class she kept telling me that I was wearing a boy's shirt. And boy's pants [because my shorts are longer and they're cargo shorts--I refuse to wear those skimpy little preppy things that barely cover the vital areas, seriously, have some modesty, people!] and then this little girl came to the conclusion that due to my 'boy's clothes' I was a boy. She then proceeded to call me "Drew" for the rest of class. I kid you not. It was really funny...but kind of annoying. All of my other kids were like, "Miss Ink's not a boy! She's a girl!" So that was interesting.
My day's been kind of uneventful in comparison to that...Thank God it's almost the weekend...my spring break is coming up soon, too. That's good. I'm so looking forward to the sleep that's going to come.
