"You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts." --2 Corinthians 3:3

It's 4 and I feel like it should be later.

Has anyone noticed that time is moving too quickly and too slowly? I just realized that. Like it's December and I want time to move faster so I can get on to bigger and better things and time's just moving too slow. But I want time to slow down a little bit because it's just moving too fast.

Does that even make sense? I don't know but that's the best way I can explain it.

...

I just don't get it. Why do my parents feel the need to never tell my sister or I anyting. It's so annoying. Seriously. I mean, today is the fifth Sunday of the month--our church is part of a four-church charge, therefore we rotate between the other four churches on fifth Sundays. My family NEVER I mean NEVER go to fifth Sunday services, we either go to the church my school's affiliated with or, we don't go at all. Well, I'm all bundled down into my chair just ready to relax for the day and then mom's all 'we're going to church, I thought you guys would assume that'. Now I have nothing against going to church--but for heaven's sake, someone could tell us! What the eff, I mean, seriously. And then they get all mad at me 'cause I'm pissed because of this. It's just stupid. I would have been ok with it, if we had been TOLD. But no, no one ever tells me anything.

After the Turkey-Coma

So I had a good Thanksgiving. My cousin and her beau came to our house for Thanksgiving as well as my other 'family'. So we all had a really good time. I ate way too much. My dad made duck as well as the traditional turkey, and we had some really yummy potatoes and green bean casserole and stuffing. Oh it was just such a good feast. My mom, cousin, sister, cousin's boyfriend and I went shopping today. We didn't go anywhere big, just the downtown area of the small town I live in. It was fun. My cousin and her poor boyfriend got suckered into going to the antique shops with my mom and so my sister and I ditched and went down to Barnes and Noble where we proceeded to blow all our money. [laughing] We went to the skate shop and got some good clothes, too. So that was nice. We know the lady who owns the skate shop, so she gave us a discount. It pays to know people. So yep, that's been my holiday thus far. Tomorrow my family is going to 'hang the greens' at my church. I guess it's kind of a traditional Methodist thing. I don't know. Our church does it every year where we put up the Chrismon tree [Chrismon, not Christmas. Chrismon is the special kind of symbolic ornaments they use.] And my sister and I get to climb all over the pews and stuff and set up the electric candles that have been used in our church every single year since before I was born. But everyone else in our church is a senior citizen, so they can't climb all over the pews and put up decorations so my family ends up doing it. Hopefully it will be fun and we won't be stuck there for too long...

Turkey

Happy Turkey Day, everyone. Just thought I'd drop by and give my wishes for the season. My cousin and her boyfriend are coming over later tonight, and tomorrow my other 'family' are coming.

Hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving, and don't stuff yourselves too much.

So, that's it for the little survey thing I found on someone's journal on deviantArt.

Anyways, I just got back from seeing the Twilight movie. I was fully expecting to be disappointed, but it actually took me by surprise. It was pretty good. The story telling was a little disjointed, and not easily understandable to those who hadn't read the books. One of the guys in our group kept asking the guy sitting next to me questions, so I guess he was a little lost. But, being a total Twilight fan, I got it. I think they could have done a lot more with the relationships with the Cullen family--but overall it was good. The stunts were corny in places and the whole 'sparkly in the sunlight' effect sucked. But oh wells. I swooned a couple of times, I admit. Gotta say, Peter Facinelli as Carlisle kind took my breath away. [laughing] I now want my own personal Edward for Christmas. I tripped coming out of the movie theater and I told my sister that I was clumsy [one of Bella's main characteristics] and that I wanted my Edward now, please. So yeah. Good movie. Definately want to go see it again, and buy the DVD so I can see cut scenes.
