"Sitting in the catbird seat." This means "sitting pretty" or "being on top of the world" or even "having the upper hand". Whoever is sitting in the catbird seat is having an easy life full of success, has no problems, and is in an advantageous position with regard to a given situation
"Bite off more than you can chew." This means trying to do something that is too difficult/time consuming to do.
"Scrape the bottom of the barrel." To be the very last or the very worst.
"Rock the boat." To create problems for other people.
Speaking of which, can you help me with something?? You seem to be good in English, can you help me with idioms?
If you could just write a couple of them and explain what they mean.
You don't have to do this of course and bother with it, it is not an obligation. :)
Oh no, you are not a horrible person.. Just an inactive one. XD It is the same in school. You don't have to be active to actually mean that you are smart. It can also be the other way around. :)
And he finds you also pretty. :D *pokes* Do you know what that means? xD But really, it is nice that you have now one more reason to always get properly on time in church.^^
Oh, I have been good and bad.. and bad.. and then good again. XD The usual. :)
Anything new by you? How have you finished your first semester?
Yesss. I'm not even exaggerating. He's DANG attractive. Like, him and his mom were looking around in Hollister, and the store manager came up to him and asked him if he'd like to work there, just upon first sight. Like, that's shallow, but I can also understand why Hollister would want a piece of that xD
I know, it was surprising! My family never has big Christmases, so I don't know what changed!
Oooh, Mariya found herself an attractive guy from her church there. Nice, nice. :3
Yay for awesome present! :D You got many I see and they are all different, which makes it even more amazing. :)
And you can freely spend more time here if you like. If not, then I wish you the best rest of your holidays and all the best there at your school and private life. :3
Thanks, Merry Christmas to you too!!! Haha I have no idea where all of it came from, my family is in no way wealthy. How in the heck did they afford that. I guess I'll never know, but I ain't complaining xD
Merry Christmas-u~! Desu desu. XD Bahah, nice to hear you had such a nice Christmas! Wow, that's a lot of things there! Lol, the only thing I got was money, and various weighty items wrapped with the money to make the boxes seem heavier. Thanks, mom. xD Anyways, glad you had a good time today~
