lol at least you can use a desktop. Mine is so fcking retarded. It keeps restarting out of nowhere. D: SO now I'm stuck using my macbook pro for the things I would normally use my desktop for. D: It's gonna die!!!
That reminds me that I need more space as well, man that 1tb drive sounds so like right now.
As for me after spending on my 13.3" macbook pro which I love right now (alot better then my monster computer sucking electricity out of the bank), I must say any purchases for me would have to benefit me nowadays (mostly school now). Nothing feels more awesome then finally buying the stuff you worked hard for!
