i'm an optimist/pessimist too.. lol sometimes i have hope and sometimes it just all drops and fades away D8 LOL but you know, you're lucky that you haven't screwed your life over by not drawing since i have not really drawn as much i have in 9th grade... so i practically screwed myself with being better than I am now in my drawing skills ;A; even my grades are screwed up till now. I don't feel so great of an artist anymore LOL D8 that's how bad I regret taking all the stupid classes I didn't need xD; and wasting time on that instead of art ;A; so I feel you're luckier than me xD you're a damn good hell of an artist, jingle ;___; same with saiyuki xD you guys don't need to put yourselves down ever.. at least you can express yourself with art more than I can 8D *shot* and even if you don't have the best grades and all that, then you still have a talent that you can keep polishing and you also have great friends as well to encourage you in anything you do.
nice doodle lolz

Believe me, I know how that is with life. I've felt the same way before for years and don't know what to say. I still feel that way sometimes, like with college. I'm majoring in art partly because I'm too lazy to get a degree in forensics or something along those lines. (too much Math and Science...) I love art but don't know what I'm gonna do as a career. I'd like to stay home and write novels, and paint/draw all day but life's not that easy I guess. I hope to get some kind of job in the illustrating/game design/ etc field... sorry for the rambling and not being much help.
As for doodles, I think that's great that you're drawing so much even if it's just doodling. I don't do that half the time so that might have something to do with me feeling like I'm not improving much. :( Well, keep it up. I always like viewing your art, doodle or otherwise. :3
