Exactly! Even at home I am constantly asked for and to find things ranging from paper, to food. Lol, I have often found myself offering to help someone as well. But then, they think 'oh, well she helped me that time and that other time. I bet she will help me again.' and thus begins the long list of 'favors'. I don't mind helping people, I enjoy it, but once they start to ask for help and bother me constantly, that is when I get annoyed. Especially when I hear my name called over and over and over...
I understand what you mean completely. When I went to public school a lot of people took advantage of me because I was so nice to them. One example, I would always bring extra supplies so many students would come and ask me for things like pencils and pens and, because its my nature, I would give them one. They would always say 'Ill give it back after class' around four out of ten would actually bring the borrowed material back. Eventually I just told them that I did not have enough, lol.
