Hello everybody, this is J-Revolution, a place where J-Rock and J-Pop fans can be in harmony together. This place is basically a round table discussion about the many many amazing bands, and amazing talent as I may add, that are in Japan. There will be music video's posted, artist info, etc etc.
If you are by any chance interested in joining this place and becoming a guest poster, than feel free to pm me and I will do that as fast as I can.
Hello everyone at the J-Revolution! I'm Razing Phoenix. I am sharing with you one of my favorite Japanese bands: Bump of Chicken. They make mostly J-rock music but little J-pop too. The song in the video is Karma, also the opening song of the game/anime Tales of the Abyss! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do, because they were the first Japanese band I discovered on my own. Enjoy!

This is a band I have been wanting to check out for a while now. Well, I finaly got around to it and this is what I found.
Ghost was formed in 2004 and unfortunatly disbanded in 2007. Their style is described as 'medolic and old-school Viusal Kei'. Ghost's last live was held at Takadanobaba Area on December 6th, 2007.
Ghost has produced the following singles:
higyaku no shiro
kousoku no hitsugi
FOR DEAR
kuchihateta kumo no sujiro
BLUE CLOUD
akai kumo
Here is one of their PVs, Physco Escape. This is one of their heavier songs, and here's your warning, it is graphic, so if you do not like blood, vomit, ect. Or just darker Visual Kei songs in general, you might not want to see this.
Please tell me what you think, and feel free to request any bands.
If you remember the entry about HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, I now present you with their sister band, Orange Range!! Formed in Okinawa in 2001, this 5-member group gained mainstream notoriety when their song Viva*Rock was used as the third ending for the Naruto anime. They reached mainstream notoriety again when their single ~*Asterisk*~ was used as the opening to the first season of the Bleach anime. From 2003 to 2006 they consecutively released an album a year, with two reaching number one on the Oricon charts and the other two reaching number two on the charts. Last year, in honor of their fifth year anniversary, they released the compilation albums Orange and Range.
Already this year they have released a two new singles, Kimi Station and O2, also the songs O2 and Shiawase Neiro will be used as the opening and ending themes of the second season of Code Geass.
Below is their single Viva*Rock, a fun and genuinely J-Rock song, please enjoy!
