Hello and welcome to Keba's Anime and Manga Place (KAAMP for short)! Here at KAAMP, I write about anime and manga that I have seen/read as well as my views on them. I'll also post about my original stories from time to time.
Just beware that some of my posts contain spoilers. I'll put them in spoiler tags just in case.
KAAMP's history: KAAMP was created in July 2002 by yours truly. It was a sloppy-looking website on Yahoo's now defunct Geocities. I posted my anime fan art on that site. Also, for a time, I posted my thoughts on the few anime series that I had seen. Now that I look back on it, my thoughts were rather ill-informed (is that even a word?) because I had only seen bits and pieces of anime dubs. Now that I've seen more series, I think that my commentary on various anime will be a little better than before.
So, come on in and stay awhile! KAAMP is now in session.
Hey, guys. Guess what? I recorded another song today. ^_^ So that means one more prize for my Challenge.
Also, it's that time of year again. I'm talking about theO's Fan Art Secret Santa. This year, Toya is hosting with Kaerlyn. I'm not taking part in hosting, but I hope I can make time to participate. I'm kind of on the fence about that with my art block and all.
So as not to confuse anyone, I'll eventually be deleting my own S.S. World from last year. I'll have it up for a few days in case anyone who participated last year forgot to add their gifts to their Favorites.
On one final note, I just want to say that I love you guys. Right now, I'm really not anywhere near as chipper as I sound in this post, but this place has been a little haven for me. You guys at theO really give me joy.
Sorry it's taken so long to get this thing up and running. I tested the equipment last night, and realized that I needed to buy a few more little things.
I tested this out, but I don't think recording and livestreaming at the same time will work. I'll do my recording thing, and then I can preview the track(s) later.
Remember when I said I was going to make a Challenge and the prize would be my original music? Well, I now have all the equipment to record!
So, I was thinking, would anyone like to see me do the recording? Maybe sometime Friday night? It would kind of be my kickoff to the Challenge, which I hope to post on Saturday.
I think JoinMe had an update that allows sound. If that doesn't work I'll switch to YouNow. Does anyone know of any other services? I've tried Picarto and didn't really like the experience, so don't suggest it.
So, who wants in?
Update: So, I was thinking I'd start between 6 and 7 Central time. Would any of you be able to make it?
Update part deux: My computer decided that now would be a great time to scan for viruses. This could take some time. Would you rather that I put this off for an hour and start around 7:30 Central or should I wait until tomorrow afternoon? There might be a bigger turnout tomorrow because it's a Saturday.
Update the third: I'm going to be pushing the schedule back a little. The stream will start on Saturday between 12:30 and 1:00 Central. I've also decided the Challenge will launch on the 11th. 'Cause that's how loud you're supposed to crank the speakers.
What can I say? I couldn't think of a better title. Anyway, time for a long-overdue post.
I have everything block. Not writer's block, not art block-- everything block. I haven't had much free time due to the fact that I'm getting more hours at work, but when I do have time to myself, I don't know what to do. The problem is that I don't even feel like doing anything. So, I get bored and frustrated, and usually end up sleeping the day away. Depression is such a pain. Isolation is, too.
The good news is that I might be able to get my new music Challenge underway in about two weeks. I hope. I had to order this part off of Amazon, and it's due to arrive this coming Saturday. Of course, I ordered it last Wednesday, but it's getting sent out tomorrow. What it is, is an interface that should help me record my guitar. Here's hoping I can figure out how it works.
