Does anyone mind if I only select two winners? I got four entries, and I don't want one person to feel left out. That isn't to say that all the entries weren't great. I'm really flattered that you all drew my OCs. I'd like to give a huge thanks to all the participants. So, thank you.
Hey, guys. I came up with some ideas for Challenges, but I'm hesitant to post them because (a) I haven't selected winners for my last one and (b) I don't know if I have time or inspiration to give prizes. Should I just do it anyway?
Also, would it be selfish to have a "draw my OCs" type of thing? I ask because one of my ongoing stories is turning five (!) and one just turned 10 (!!), and I want to celebrate somehow. "Then why don't you write more?" asks just about everyone.
Remember when I said I was going to make a Challenge and the prize would be my original music? Well, I now have all the equipment to record!
So, I was thinking, would anyone like to see me do the recording? Maybe sometime Friday night? It would kind of be my kickoff to the Challenge, which I hope to post on Saturday.
I think JoinMe had an update that allows sound. If that doesn't work I'll switch to YouNow. Does anyone know of any other services? I've tried Picarto and didn't really like the experience, so don't suggest it.
So, who wants in?
Update: So, I was thinking I'd start between 6 and 7 Central time. Would any of you be able to make it?
Update part deux: My computer decided that now would be a great time to scan for viruses. This could take some time. Would you rather that I put this off for an hour and start around 7:30 Central or should I wait until tomorrow afternoon? There might be a bigger turnout tomorrow because it's a Saturday.
Update the third: I'm going to be pushing the schedule back a little. The stream will start on Saturday between 12:30 and 1:00 Central. I've also decided the Challenge will launch on the 11th. 'Cause that's how loud you're supposed to crank the speakers.
Update at the bottom
I want to make a new Challenge so bad, but I have a dilemma. The dilemma is about the prizes for this Challenge. Allow me to elaborate.
What I wanted to do was give out some of my original songs as prizes. The problem is that the songs aren't recorded due to a stupid computer issue. I won't go into the issue unless anyone is good with sound settings, headphone/mic jack ports, and the like. I want to get someone to take a look at my computer and see what's up, but until then, I have no music to give out.
I assure you that this will get done eventually. I didn't spend a bunch of money to buy recording software for nothing. It's just that I really want to start this Challenge for the sake of generating activity. Heck, I was even thinking about making both a Fan Art Challenge AND a Wallpaper Challenge with the same premises to give out my songs.
By the time the Challenges end, I hope I'll have something to give. I just don't want to give any empty promises. Should I say that prizes are TBD? Should I wait?
Update: First off, I can only make five consecutive posts, so I'm sorry I couldn't reply to everyone. ^^;
Secondly, most people advised that I should hold off, so I will. Last night, I put in a call to my brother's friend who does computer work professionally. I trust that he can do something to help me.
In the meantime, I'm trying to think of ways to promote this upcoming Challenge. Obviously, I can make a World post about it, but I'm trying to think of other things I can do. Suggestions are welcomed.
Happy new year, everyone!
Now let's cut to the chase. If I made a Challenge about the songs that I write and give out those songs as prizes, would you enter?
Also, I'm going to work on my events World to turn it into that new thing.
Pretty short post is pretty short. Redundant me is redundant.
