Hmmmm now that sounds like a very interesting prize! I think you should go along with the challenge. Even if you don't have it fixed by the end, I am sure the winners would be willing to wait for a prize like that.
You can make a fan art advertising said challenge and then tie into a link for your challenge and maybe world post (obviously) advertising said challenge.

Getting a song for prize sounds like a wonderful idea, it's different and unique! I think you should hold off on it though, until you can get the technical issues fixed.
Maybe you could promote the your challenge while you get the issue fixed?
That's an interesting idea for prizes...hmm...I like that a lot actually. It might be best to just generate hope for the challenge in your world before actually putting up the challenge. Make sure the issue you're having is an issue that is easily fixed before posting. That way there's no chance of empty promises.
I say go for it. I don't see why not. Just make the time limit the max so that will give you enough time to be able to hopefully get things figured out.

@SmallxLady:
Good idea. I like the idea of promoting the Challenge to possibly generate hype.

The general consensus is that I should hold off. Sure, my problem is very likely to be fixed in three months, but I can't be sure.

I guess waiting has been the general consensus. That's what I'll do, I guess.

That really is a neat idea! You should probably wait until you can get help with your software, though.
