I'M GOING TO ANIME CENTRAL!!!!!!!!!
I just registered today. I'm psyched. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!
Mission: Nothing Is Impossible is progressing smoothly. I told a neighbor that I'd be cutting my hair and she kind of freaked out. OK, I'm exaggerating. But just a bit.
I tried out the fake tattoo ink. It works pretty well, but I have to perfect my technique a bit in applying it.
I've also decided that I'm going to search for a vest at a thrift store rather than make one. I can't learn to make a vest in a month. I'll just buy some fluffy fabric and attach it to the collar.
Have you ever had that feeling where you want to draw something so bad, but you don't know what to draw? That's how I've been feeling all day. And it's driving me crazy.
I have a pretty good idea of what I'm going to do for my 100th submission, but the 98th and 99th are giving me problems. It's not quite like artist's block because, as I stated before, I want to draw something! The problem is that there are so many possibilities. Fan art. OCs. Traditional. Digital. What do I do?????
KAAMP just broke 10,000 views!
And now for something completely different....
Every time I see someone refer to Attack on Titan by its romanji initials (SnK), I want to read it as "snack". I am now laughing myself silly over this. (And no, I still haven't seen the series.)
Ha ha! And you thought I'd say something cliche like, "IT'S OVER 9,000!!!!" Oh wait. I just said it. D'oh!
I haven't posted in a while, so here's some random stuff that's been happening in my otaku life. There are things in this list that I would like some input on. This particular post contains a plug as well.
I haven't been super active art-wise, although on Saturday night, I thought I'd spend a little time on a digital project. That "little" amount of time turned into two hours. At least I found a cool, easy way to cell shade. I still have to finish up that art trade and those last four OC questions.
I haven't done a lot of writing either. Survival Instincts is still in the hands of my beta. She hasn't gotten back to me because she has a life (unlike me) and this is kind of low on her list of priorities. I don't blame her at all. I'm at the halfway point in the third chapter of The Rebels of Planet Aadau, but I've been there for months. I actually wrote a bit of Destination, which is something that I haven't done in seven years, so that's actually a big accomplishment. I've been kicking around a script in my head for that fan manga project, but I haven't written anything down. The reason is simple: I don't know the first thing about writing a manga script.
What I have been doing is watching anime. Ever since I heard the news about the rights to Inuyasha being lost, I've been watching it like mad. I've also been bitten by the nostalgia bug, so I'm watching Sailor Moon as well (it's fan-subbed-- shh...). In the meantime, I'm finding yet more series that I want to watch. Thank goodness for Anime-Planet.
Speaking of Anime-Planet, they are now streaming anime! Legally! So, not only can you keep track of the anime you watch, you can watch certain series through their site. Just another reason why that site is awesome. By the way, I'm KebaFox on that site if you want to be friends.
To change the subject totally and completely, I'm thinking about starting up another Challenge. I think the idea for this one is pretty interesting. It's currently top secret-- I'm not even telling whether it'll be for art, comics, wallpapers, or cards. If I don't create it by the 15th, throw a brick at me.
I'm also thinking about hosting another event this summer. It won't be 30 Days of Art, though, since only 3/7 of us actually completed it. I'm open to suggestions.
I know a lot of you have OCs, so I'm wondering if any of you are on Charahub. I was thinking about joining the site. Is it any good?
For the grand finale of this post, I'm going to give an update on Mission: Nothing Is Impossible. I have successfully secured a number of items for my cosplay. In fact, my neighbor just gave me a pair of boots today. The only thing I DON'T have is the actual outfit. The shirt and pants will be easy enough to buy, but the big question mark is The Fluffy Vest. I don't know how to ask for fabric at a fabric store without looking stupid. I don't have a pattern. I don't have measurements to give. Heck, I don't even know how to sew! And that's not the only hard piece of the costume. I've been trying to lose weight, and it's taken a mental toll on me. I also need to chop off my hair. I was thinking about donating it to make wigs for cancer patients. How ironic is that? I'm doing an act of charity for the sake of cosplaying as a character named Greed.
OK, so if that's the grand finale, this is the encore. I haven't actually registered for Anime Central. The deadline to register online is the end of April. I don't know why I'm holding back. I guess it's a bunch of silly fears that I have.
So, that's it for my random updates. This list turned out longer than I thought.
This concludes the broadcast of Gurren Livestream. Thanks to the three people who dropped by.
