Maybe I could bug them. It isn't right for bloody art thieves to get away with stealing other people's art. They piss me off to no end. On another note would it be alright if I wrote a "response post" responding to your post about art thieves and plagiarism? I can provide links to my stolen wallpapers then. TheO needs more plagiarism awareness. I just saw another art thief lurking around here. They have stolen wallpapers in their portfolio. I won't say who they are but I just no it wouldn't do a damn bit of good to report them or the work because the mods or higher ups wouldn't do a damn thing about it!

Your wallpapers were stolen? Man, that stinks. Did you email the admin(s) at the site where they were stolen? It would be good to pressure them.

Let me just start by saying ART THIEVES SUCK ASS!!! Pardon my "French" but it's true. That aside I've read your post and agree with everything you said. Art theft goes unnoticed here on theOtaku. This seriously pisses me off! You'd think the administrators or whoever would be more vigilant and take down the reported stolen work. But no it still remains. I can't believe art thieves get promoted, hell I can't understand why they are still here. You'd think they get warned to take the stolen work down or something. But nothing gets done.
I've reported countless stolen/plagiarised works including the "proof URL" crap. My question is do they even check the reported/flagged works? My answer is no they don't. If they did actually check them, the stolen works would be gone and the art thieves would be banned. Also as an added note. I've had my wallpapers stolen and posted on other sites. It really sucks! Art thieves need to be taken down.
If I was a higher up admin. I would tell the art thieves to take down the stolen art. If they didn't comply, they would be banned. Plain and freaking simple. Art thieves shouldn't receive "special attention or promotions." Hell they need to just be banned and not allowed to stay on this site. What the HELL Man!? What the ACTUAL HELL!? Art thieves need to be exposed and taken down. I don't like them and they are freaking stupid. Enough said.

Hey, if it ever came down to it, I'd probably nominate you. If they did decide to get some new staff on board, picking members from the two highest ranks would be best, given that they've been around long enough to know what's what.

Way back when, I once told an art thief that what they were doing was wrong. They responded back saying that the work really was theirs and called me a slang word for a male reproductive organ. Then they blocked me. Shortly thereafter, this thief was banned.

I know for a fact that Adam hardly ever responds to PMs. But PMing SunfallE isn't a bad idea. She might be busy, but it's worth a try.

Personally, I'm wondering if theO would be open to getting more staff... volunteer, of course, but if the other staff are really busy, more people would certainly help lighten the load... people of a trustworthy nature, of course. You certainly wouldn't want to promote art thieves to that kind of position of power o_o

This is a very good post, Keba!! *round of applause!* You should actually copy and paste this in the Artist Cubby too, it would be a good article for other people to read... Nice work for standing up against art theivery!! I really don't like how theO is being mangaed sometimes :/ I can understand that the staff is really busy, but instead of just doing nothing about it, someone should take action. Its definitely not fair. Thankyou again for this awesome post!! I agree with u... what i to be done to get the attention of the higher-ups without getting banned for 'picking' on the art theives? Man its insane ==

Yikes...Horror story indeed. 0_0 I don't want something like that to happen to theO either. But unless you know the original art/artist, sometimes it's hard to recognize art theft -- especially if you're not online that much. I guess all of us have to be more aware of these things so we can keep a lookout. Thanks for the heads-up.
