Hello and welcome to Keba's Anime and Manga Place (KAAMP for short)! Here at KAAMP, I write about anime and manga that I have seen/read as well as my views on them. I'll also post about my original stories from time to time.

Just beware that some of my posts contain spoilers. I'll put them in spoiler tags just in case.

KAAMP's history: KAAMP was created in July 2002 by yours truly. It was a sloppy-looking website on Yahoo's now defunct Geocities. I posted my anime fan art on that site. Also, for a time, I posted my thoughts on the few anime series that I had seen. Now that I look back on it, my thoughts were rather ill-informed (is that even a word?) because I had only seen bits and pieces of anime dubs. Now that I've seen more series, I think that my commentary on various anime will be a little better than before.

So, come on in and stay awhile! KAAMP is now in session.

New Year's Resolutions or Not

I usually end my year with a post on theO about my art resolutions. Oddly enough, I don't have many this year. In fact, I can only think of three.

1. Draw one picture each month (for an end-of-year art meme)
2. Finish those drawings that are currently lying around half-finished
3. Draw and develop my OCs more

And now for something slightly off the subject: If you have anything to say about the OC Poll/Countdown, please read my previous post.

Minutes to Midnight

This post has absolutely nothing to do with the Linkin Park album of the same title. *Shot.*

Well, it's 11:40 pm in my area, and I've got nothing to do, so I might as well make one of those resolution type post things. Maybe it'll be 2015 by the time I'm done. On we go.

1. Lead the 2015 Sketch Marathon. I'm the only one drawing every day. I must be nuts.
2. Watch MOAR ANIME. Dumbest. Resolution. Ever. At least it's the dumbest one I've made.
3. Host a Challenge. Hopefully, it'll take me less than half a year to draw prizes for everyone.
4. Do that Characters and Poems thing. I hope KyraChan is still hosting that.
5. Look into selling my art. That means making some high-res digital images and knitting lots of toys.
6. Record an album. While this isn't directly related to theO, maybe I can host a Challenge and give some tracks away as a prize.
7. Go back to Anime Central. But first I gotta buy a new wristband. I still haven't found it. And I had a dream about it. All this over a little possession. I'm getting off track.
8. Make more Worlds. I know I've said this forever. A "help wanted" World, a music review World and a stash of my really old drawings (that might be older than some of you) are a few thoughts I've been kicking around.
9. Write more. This past year, I wrote half a chapter of Destination and half a chapter of The Rebels of Planet Aadau. Let's hope I'm more productive in the year ahead. I also have to type up this one short story that I wrote by hand a few years ago and post it.

Also, to my Secret Santa recipient, you don't know who I am, but I'm working on your present and I'm close to being done.

Darn, I typed all that and it's not even 2015 yet. Now I gotta figure out what to do with the last two minutes of the year....

Happy new year, everyone!

So, How'd I Do?

Here were my 2013 goals centered around theO. Which did I accomplish? Read to find out.

1. Draw more. I want to get in at least one picture per month. That way, I can do an end-of-the-year art meme. I think this goal is going to have a lot of sub-goals.

Mission accomplished! I just need to slap together that meme.

1-A. Draw fan art from series that I've never drawn from before. Self explanatory.

Done!

1-B. Practice drawing my characters. They need some development.

I got in some practice, but there's room for improvement.

1-C. Enter more Challenges. This year, there weren't a lot of Challenges that I was interested in. Heck, there weren't a lot of Challenges, period.

Need I say more?

2. Start my web comic. It's going to be about me and my OCs. There will be much craziness. This goal can be broken down further.

I think my inspiration for this particular web comic kind of died out. But I do want to make SOME kind of comic.

2-A. Learn to use my tablet. I want this comic to be as computer-centered as possible.

I LOVE MY TABLET! I think I'm getting better using it.

2-B. Learn to use Manga Studio. I've had it for quite some time, but never figured it out. And when I mean "quite some time", I mean the version I have is no longer current.

News flash: I have the current version. It is amazing. It makes SO much more sense than the older version I had. And I think I'm getting a pretty good handle on it.

3. Crack the Fan Art Top 25. Yeah, like that'll happen.

I cracked two of them! Wow. I know my time on the 1 Month one was short, but I did it.

4. Buy a scanner. I don't want to have to go to my parents' to scan anymore. It's a waste of gas to drive just for that purpose. I'll have to do a lot of shopping. Large scanners are expensive.

Didn't make this goal. I need to save up more. Especially since I have my eyes on a different one than before.

5. Write more. Poor "Rebels" is neglected. "Survival Instincts" needs an update. I have to figure out what else to add to my library as well.

I posted a bunch of new stuff. Still need to work on my multi-chapter stories more.

6. Make a wallpaper. I know the Wallpaper section is kind of dead. But I want to try my hand at one anyway.

Didn't do that either. And I apologize to Anime Galleries. It was Anime Stocks that infected my computer. Note to self: If a message comes up saying that you need to update something, CLOSE YOUR BROWSER IMMEDIATELY! Then scan for viruses EVERYWHERE!

7. Do my voice meme. It's still open. Ask me anything, so long as it's appropriate.

Done! Click meh. Almost done with the drawings I owe people, too.

8. Start a Challenge. I have SO many ideas. I just can't think of any of them when I get on theO.

I never actually did that. I just have too many ideas to pick from. And it doesn't help that I want to enter every Challenge that I come up with.

So that was 2013. All my incomplete goals automatically carry over to 2014 because I can't think of any new ones. Except maybe to use this World for more anime-ish things. And cosplay and post pictures of that.

Goals for the New Year

I thought that since it's the end of 2012, I might as well list some goals for 2013. I'll mostly concentrate on artistic persutes and things that pertain to theO.

Wow. That's a lotta goals. And that's only for art. I have some guitar goals, but I don't want to list those 'cause this is a VISUAL art site. Then again, I do have some ideas about incorporating my music with theO... but that's for a later date.

So, since this is "Comment Day", what are some of your personal goals for the year?
