Hey, it's been a hot minute. I'm still visiting theO daily, even though I haven't been very active. The reason that I haven't been posting much is because, well, I haven't had much drive to make art.
I think I'm beginning to overthink things way too much. I want to work on redesigning my old OCs, mainly from The Rebels of Planet Aadau and secondarily from Destination (the Survival Instincts characters look OK to me... for now). I've already started with "Rebels", but some of the designs don't look "right". Like, I have them pictured in my head and they aren't coming out the way I want them to.
Then there's the problem I'm having in that I'm coming up with and/or repurposing more OCs. I have that fantasy story (that STILL has no title or plot), as well as a sci-fi story (also with no title), and both have a lot of characters. And I want to draw all of them.
Here lies the problem: I can't decide what to start with first. I have too many choices. And then there's the question what medium I should color them with, which opens up another problem of finding the right paper to use for said medium. Then there's the biggest problem of all: What if I don't like how it looks?
I don't like scrapping artwork. I want to keep it. Work with it. Not give up on it. I have the skill to see when things look off. What I don't have is the skill to fix the off-looking things.
Maybe I just need to sit down and do some anatomy practice. But I want to draw my OCs!!!!!!
See how I'm overthinking things?
OK, so as not to end on such a frustrating note, does anyone know of a place where I can post my stories? I ask because I've been writing (and rewriting) a little bit, and theO's formatting for long-ish stories is kinda terrible. They're not fanfics, so AO3 is out of the question. If anyone could point me in a direction, that would be appreciated.
Here's some artwork of my OCs that other people drew. I just wanted to show my appreciation to the artists.

Rules:
1. I draw your OC and you draw mine.
2. One (1) drawing per person.
3. No deadlines.
4. First come, first served.
Honestly, I'm not picky about which OC of mine you draw. If you want me to draw a specific OC, let me know. Also please provide references.
References of my OCs:

If you want other pictures of my OCs, you can poke around my Portfolio, too. I just linked the ones that I thought were the best.
You might be wondering why I'm feeling impatient about October. Then again, you might not be. But I'm going to tell you anyway.
Some of you know of October as the month when all those drawing prompts come out. Personally, I'm looking forward to OC October (or OCtober as some call it). While I don't plan on doing prompts, I do want to spend time developing my neglected OC babies. I haven't decided on whether to draw them, write their stories, or some combination. I just want to celebrate them.
Another idea I was kicking around was OC art trades. I haven't done much art this year due to lack of ideas, but I think drawing other people's characters might get me back into the swing of things. If I decide to do that, I'll make a separate post for sign ups. Right now, I'm just going to put out feelers in case anyone else is interested. So... anyone interested?
It looks as though people wanted to do the OC Polls/Countdown comic thing the most. Now comes the planning part.
Should I revamp Fiction Feedback Central to use as our HQ? I think that makes sense, but if anyone has any objections, I'll take them into consideration. I swear I won't delete anyone's posts. I don't even know if I can delete guest posts, but if I can, I won't.
Now, when should this start? I wanted to start at the beginning of the year, but that might be too sudden. When would you guys like it to start? I was thinking that sign ups would start at the beginning of the year, and the event would launch in March, but if you want it to start at a different month, let me know.
So far, there is only one requirement: you must have at least 5 original characters (fan characters count, too).
If you have any additional comments, well, comment! I'd love to hear from you.
Update: It's January. The only reason I haven't posted sign-ups is because I'd like a little more feedback on the questions above, and who would be interested in this event. I'll try to have the sign-ups open before the end of the week.
Update part deux: I'm going to use Fiction Feedback Central as our home base for this new event AND keep the option to post stories and the like within the revamped World. I'll move the intro to a post and link to it. Please Pardon My Dust.
Update the Third: I encountered a bug that's preventing me from working on the World. I have already reported it. My sincerest apologies.
Edit free-4-all: I realized the problem was on MY end and that adding the BREAK tag with brackets without adding a blank line above and below it resulted in the whole post not showing up. I'm going to work on that World now.
