Oh, okay, that's really cool! We folded the paper into groups, too. When we sewed them, though, we used a really simple stitch called a butterfly stitch, and that made the sewing go by really fast. At least, that's what my teacher called it..I just tried t Google it and find a tutorial, and all that came up was something in macrame that's called a butterfly titch. LOL, and not really what I meant. But yeah.
I poked matching holes with a pin in the spines of each paper group(I forgot the actual term for them, I folded 4 sheets in half for each) and used floss(for some reason it was stronger than the thread I had at hand, and it's more invisible since it's white) to sew it together. I started with the first folded group and pulled the thread through the bottom holes and when I got through all of them moved on to the second and so on. I don't really know how to describe sewing them together since I basically winged the whole project. If I make another one, I'll take pictures while I'm making it and put them up. =)
That's so epic! Ne made sketchbooks in my 2D class this year. It was not my favorite assignment, to say the least, but I'm not much of a sewer. The sewing takes too much time, and I'm just so lazy! LOL. I never use mine, though, because my teacher put really lame paper in them. So it just sits in my Art drawer in case we use them during class. Yours looks much more legit than mine does, though! How did you sew it together?
