By sugary,I meant it might seem a bit too idealistic a story,similarly to regular shonen like Naruto or the likes,though again,it is up to you and it isn't necessarily a bad thing,if done well..
Just be a bit careful to keep some balance.
Also,did you think of a "Ultimate goal" for your main/characters?
Nah, positive feedback is cool too--it means I'm at least going in the right direction. It's also awesome to know you think it looks like more of a shounen, since that's what I'm going for (shoujo has never been great for me). But, you you elaborate on "sugary"? I don't understand...

In my honest opinion,I think it's a idea with great potential!
It's also very open for art styles and new attempts as well~
It looks a bit on the Shounen side of things (or a teensy bit too sugary-looking?) but this idea is well thought and leaves place to original concepts,characters,places....
I'd say,you should give it a try...! (Sorry if I sounded too positive about it)
