It Weeps

Continued from: One Step Closer

After Kisuke removed the piece of paper from his shoulder he unfolded it reading softly, “Oh Lord! I am not worthy! I bend my limbs to the ground. I cry, yet without a sound. Let me drink of waters deep. And in silence I will weep.”

Kisuke rubbed his chin looking up from the piece of paper, “Hm, waters deep. Bent limbs, silently weeping; a willow. A weeping willow to be exact.”

He stood in thought for a brief moment then disappeared. Reappearing Kisuke was across town at the Botanical Gardens. He walked up to the gate, looking at the large weeping willow that sat to the back of the garden. His eyes then averted to a sign that hung there, “Closed, huh?” He adjusted his hat, “I wonder if --” Kisuke disappeared again.

When he reappeared he was back outside the gate, Benihime hanging at his side once more. “I guess they didn't mind,” he chuckled softly, looking down at his zanpakuto and smiled, “It’s nice to have you back my friend.” Placing his hand to the top of his hat he looked to the night sky then looked back to Benihime, “Your right. It’s a beautiful night. Lets take our time getting back.” He rested his hand to the hilt and started to walk away from the gate of the garden, “After all, we have much to talk about…” he looked to Benihime again with a sly smile, his eyes dark from under his hat. “…of where you have been.”
