I don't like talking about myself, so, uh...yeah. lol. I'm a major gamer, I read a lot of books (physics, math, philosophy, fantasy), watch and read some anime, and spend the rest of my time being annoyed at gravity for restricting me to being able to do only one front flip at a time.
I've posted a few of the articles/essays I've written, so if you're ever interested in reading anything that I have thought about or researched, check out my articles world, Kastom's Thoughts.
And the essentials:
Kastom's Bio:
Birth date: September 10, 1989
Sex: Male
Real Name: Tomas (Tom)
Living: Ontario, Canada
Occupation: University of Waterloo Undergraduate Physics Major
And I leave you with a quote from Adam which sums me up well:
"Kastom is very smart and wise, but sometimes he acts like a n00blet..."
So a day or two ago (I think it was Tuesday actually...), I thought to myself, "I should watch some Anime." I haven't watched anything since...March I think? That was Ergo Proxy. And before that was Gurren Lagann. That's all I've watched so far this year. I'm way behind, I know...
And obviously, because I'm behind, there are sooooo many series I should watch. Then for some reason, I decided on The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
Yes, I know, I HAVEN'T seen that yet...well, before now.
Yeah, I watched pretty well the whole thing today, I swear. I think I watched like, 10 episodes today? lol. And I still had class and studied and stuff...I don't know how I do these things...
Whatever the case, wow. I can see why people like it so much. It's just so...different. Like, wow.
So obviously I realized the episodes weren't in chronological order. Which after finishing, I have to say seems so weird. The show just wouldn't have been NEARLY as good in the "proper" order. Which in itself I am amazed by. The fact that it makes it BETTER being out of order...well I have great respect for the people who made the show the way it was.
Basically, I just feel really good after watching the show. It was a very refreshing, original thing. And like how it actually made me think (even if it was only slightly). When Kyon and Koizumi talk about the Anthropic Principle (or Theory, however you want to call it), I was really excited. I was slightly disappointed at first by the explanation, but overall it wasn't too bad. It's an area of Philosophy I'm really interested in, so I found it extremely enjoyable to see some thoughts on it in a show.
Overall, I just really liked how the show had some original ideas (at least to me), and made me think about some things.
It was extremely enjoyable.
Maybe I should get back into this whole "being addicted to Anime" thing...
lol.
Continuing on his streak of being the last person to watch/know about an Anime series,
- Kastom
P.S. I'm listening to the song from the show, "God Knows...", on repeat (that guitar at the start is beyond epicly awesome).
So been moderately busy. Midterms are upon me, and will continue to be until like, July. This coming week is my hardest one (Classical Mechanics and Special Relativity). Gotta study for that a bunch this weekend and this coming week.
So yesterday I went golfing! First time I've ever done it! I have wanted to for a few years now, so I'm really happy I've finally done it. Three friends and I (they all know how to play, at least a bit) went for 18 holes. It was a LONG day yesterday. Started right after our Class Mech class, at about 2:00ish. Finished around 7 or something. It was LONG.
But yeah, it was sweet. I sucked crap at first, not surprisingly, but I DID manage to start being able to hit it not too badly. My friends told me that I was doing incredibly well for my first time ever.
I thank Mario Golf for that.
*shot*
lol.
Anyways, today I gotta do two assignments. One I was SUPPOSED to do yesterday, but didn't due to aforementioned new experience. lol.
Other things:
- Rifftakus is awesomely fun, and is going to be soooooo amazing once we get some finished products
- Eyeshield 21 is done! It was a good ending though. And It's good it has ended. There really wasn't much more it could really do.
- I'm very tired. Playing Halo until 3:00 is tiring...
