Hey everyone,
That week was like hell. Three midterms, two assignments, a lab. Gah.
Had Differential Equations on Monday and it went really well, but it was the easiest of my classes. Then had Electromagnetics on Thursday, and I believe it went really well also, so I just need to hope that I didn't make a bunch of dumb mistakes in my integrals. Then had Quantum Physics last night (yes, Friday night midterm, 7:30 - 10:00, they really treat us Physics people as nerds with no social lives), and I think it went moderately well. Really hard to say. If I got perfect on everything I did (didn't answer one question, and kinda guessed/half answered another), then I might get around an 85% at best. Which is OK, I guess, but means I'm going to really need to do well on the exam. But then again, I could get as low as like, 60%, so I'm really quite rather worried about it...
Now this weekend. I did my programming assignment that was actually due Thursday today, but did not due to wanting to study for midterms, lol. And then tomorrow I need to do my Calc assignment (which I haven't started, but looks like it will take around 3-6 hours as usual), Differential Equations assignment (which I'm luckily almost done, only about another hour left on it), and at least start on my Electromagnetics lab, so that I won't have to do the entire thing Monday night.
Gah.
But after this, this week will be rather easy due to only one midterm, and an odd (yet very welcomed) lack of assignments. I need to catch up with my general studying for my classes, so it'll be good. I also just might be able to get a head start on assignments when they come back full throttle the following week.
Halloween on Friday! Woooo! I'm so excited, even though I don't actually have any plans yet, lol. All I know is that I'm dressing up in my new and improved anime costume (slightly added on from the last design, lol), and that totally calls for me being crazy excited and happy! Hahahahaha....
Speaking of which, I need to go and buy some hair dye this week. I've got this awesome new idea for my hair that I'm going to try. Mwhahahha...
Rather amusing thing about last night. Right after our Quantum midterm, three of my friends and I got super drunk. It was hilarious, 'cause we just ended up sitting in my living room, talking (well more like yelling, we get loud when drunk) about EVERYTHING. We went over SOOOO many subjects. We talked for basically 6 hours about personalities, women, how economies work and what they mean, various historical events, what logic is and truly means, etc., etc. We got into some extremely philisophical debates. It was really quite funny.
I did manage to play about another 2 hours of Vesperia over this last week. Vesperia is so AWESOME. Most mature Tales game ever it seems. The characters are deeper, but the main thing is Yuri (who, yes, totally looks like a girl, and has already been mistaken for one. but he DOES have a very manly voice, lol). Maybe I just like it 'cause he seems to be a lot like me and what I'd do, but I think he's amazing. Whenever I yell out something for him to do, he ACTUALLY DOES IT.
*slight spoiler, but not really as I don't say any names in the slightest, not really a spoiler* I was like, "That guy is totally evil! Don't let him escape! Kill him!" AND HE TOTALLY DID. It was insane. Right in the street murder. I couldn't believe it. It completely changed my perception of the game when that happened. It seems so much more realistic and mature than most other RPGs now. I almost feel bad saying that the fact that he did that made it seem more realistic, considering, but really, that guy was so f-upped, that everyone would have tried to.
It's also insanely funny, as Raven is hilarious (even though I don't like him for hitting on Judith), and making fun of Karol (who I swear to all the video game gods, is Lloyd Irving as a kid) is so easy and funny. He really is a cool character, but such an idiot. It's also great how Yuri humours Karol all the time, making Yuri seem even more realistic as a character.
Man it's a good game. I really can't wait to have more time to play it.
Anyways, it's 12:30, so I need to decide if I should go to bed now, and get up early to work on assignments, or if I should stay up and work. I'm already leaning towards sleeping, even though I REALLY do want to work on Differential Equations (I'm not actually being sarcastic).
Cheers everyone,
- Kastom
P.S. I NEEDS TO WORKS ON HALLOWEEN WRITINGS. GAH.
Hey everyone,
Mmmmm, I just finished my cake.
lol.
I ate the entire double layer chocolate cake (which I smothered in chocolate icing) in 5 days.
I love being me.
Hahahahaha...
Anyways, I started reading Eyeshield 21, yesterday I think it was? Either yesterday or the day before. I am now on volume 12.
lol.
I don't know what it is about sports mangas, but they are so addictive. I've read all of Prince of Tennis, read a bunch of Whistle! (would read more if I could just find it), and now Eyeshield 21. Whatever the case...
Well I have my Electromagnetics midterm tomorrow night, and then my Quantum Physics midterm Friday night. Then I'll get a BIT of a breather, but I still have like, 4 assignments I have to do over the weekend, and then next Thursday I have Calculus midterm. Gah...what I'd give for it to be all over right now...
Found some good J-Pop music I've been listening to a lot lately. I was attempting to find Weeeek by News on the University netwrok, and I stumbled upon this collection of about 6 cds of random J-Pop songs. There are already two or three songs I've found that are absolutely awesome. The only problem is that none of them are named properly (either that or more likely I just don't have the proper text installed), so I can't actually find out what these songs are called. Too bad too, 'cause I would totally recommend a few of them. My only chance would be for me to look up the lyrics, but even that won't work due to my inability to even phonetically write out what they're saying, lol.
I really need to work on the Halloween writer's jam. I've got this awesome idea (at least I think so), and I've written a bit of it so far, but it's the kind of thing that takes a lot of time. Gah, I NEED to do it, it'll be so cool once it's done if it comes out right. I'll make sure I get to it next week or this weekend...
Ah well, I should get back to Quantum (I'm done Electro for the night). Next two days are going to be fun...
Cheers everyone,
- Kastom
HEY EVERYONE,
I'M SO PUMPED!! YEAH! LET'S DO IT!! WOOO!
I just had my Differential Equations midterm, and I f-ing pwnd teh haxxorz out of it! RAAAA! I TOTALED THAT MIDTERM LIKE I DO N00BS! YEAH! WOOO! I'M SO FULL OF ENERGY NOW! RAAAWR!!
Man, there's no other morale booster like destroying a test/midterm/exam! And I really needed it. I've been feeling so behind and confused about classes this year, but YEAH! I AM BACK! UNIVERSITY IS GOING DOWN! *fist clench*
I'm going to go eat some cake and start studying for my next midterms, or do some assignments! YEAH! WOO! LET'S GO!!!
RAWR,

Hey,
Before I say anything, I would like to inform you all, just in case any of you were wondering, I was just dancing in my boxers to "How Far We've Come" by Matchbox 20.
And if any of you WERE wondering, you guys are weird. Geeze, why would you want to know that?!
Crazy people...
So I just got back from my soccer games for today. I kinda didn't want to go due to the fact that I wanted to study for Differential Equations, but then again, I AM the Captain of the team, so I figured it really wouldn't be good if I wasn't there, lol. And woo, I'm pooped. We won both games. The first we kinda won 6-0. I felt bad. The second game we won 3-1, but I am rather surprised, as that team was really quite good. Still, apparently we've got a really good team. I'm really quite impressed, considering it's a free agent team (we all signed up as individuals and we were put together as a team).
Man I love soccer.
I've been playing for...I think 13 years? Yeah, I think I was 6 when I started. But man, I just can't believe how fun it is, and how well I know it. It's just like second nature. Gah, soccer is sooooo good.
Movie Sign tonight! Looking forward to it. I'm somewhat tempted to not come, just because I need to study lots, but at the same time, it's just too much fun to miss. lol. I know, I'm great at prioritizing, eh? lol.
Gah, I can't believe it's already 4. Well, I really need to get down to it and grind some problems.
Well, I'm going to go chug a Red Bull and see what happens (I am a scientist after all, I'm very curious) when I study. I'm hypothesizing one of three things: a) no change whatsoever b) me becoming super concentrated c) me becoming super distracted.
If it's c), I'm just going to beat myself into studying. lol.
Cheers everyone,

Hey,
Gah, it's been bothering me for years. But last year and so far this year it's been especially tough.
Deciding what kind of person I want to be.
Take for instance, last night.
My two roommates were going to a friend of ours' place. Well, more their's than mine, I only kind of knew her. She and her roommates lived on our floor last year, and while I kind of talked with them a bit last year, I usually was just in the group when when others would talk. I don't know how much I actually directly talked TO any of the girls.
That's one thing about me. I am unbelievably awkward around girls. Sometimes. Generally. Actually, it`s hard to classify, so I'll just leave it at generally.
Anyways, they were going to their place because it was one of their birthday's, so she was having a party, then everyone was going to go out to a club. At first I was like, yeah, I don't really want to go. My roommates convinced me to come along, at least for a while, so we went out and bought some beer, and a little while later went there.
On the way over, I was pretty excited and happy that I had decided to go, as I was feeling like I was in a party sort of mood.
Basically, I ended up staying there for about 2 hours, drank some, talked with a few of my friends (all male, lol) from my floor last year, then just decided to leave due to boredom.
I came back to my place, and then three of my Physics friends and I watched an episode of Mystery Science Theatre 3000 (Space Mutiny! - "How dare you insult my knowledge of ancient dentistry!"), went on my computer for a bit, then went to bed.
The whole thing is that I just can't decide what kind of person I want to be. I like to party and drink and stuff, sometimes. And other times I just want to sit with some friends and play video games or something. Almost always, I lean in the direction of video games, etc., but I DO enjoy drinking and stuff sometimes. And both have their pros and cons. Partying and stuff has fewer pros, but there are a few that are indeed very strong. 'Cause I DO have a lot of fun generally when I drink and stuff, and then there is also the fact that I can meet girls this way. Which is one of the (if not the main) con of the other way of living: there are no girls.
Sure, there are a bunch of you on here that are awesome! But really, in real life, I've only ever met one girl that was into video games and anime, etc. I thought that when I came to Waterloo it'd be so easy to find girls that like that stuff here, but once again, they don't seem to exist.
Gah. Like really, I haven't actually had a conversation with a girl for probably 2-3 months. I have maybe said a thing or two to a few girls since then, but it was always random things with my friend's friend or something.
My problem is that girls that I meet through my partying side, I always find boring and/or disgusting (actually I think that about most people I meet that way, both guys and girls, lol), and then girls don't exist in my nerd side.
Blarg.
Anyways, sorry for the rant.
On to happier things...I MADE A CAKE TODAY. A BIG CHOCOLATE CAKE, WITH LOTS AND LOTS OF CHOCOLATE ICING. Mmmmmm. I can't wait to eat it! I love baking...it's so much fun and tastes so gooooood....
Anime Club tonight, and Movie Sign tomorrow! So looking forward to them.
Anyways, I really should get some studying done. I have three midterms next week. Gah. And my other two classes have their usual weekly assignments due thursday and friday, and I also have a lab on tuesday.
This week is going to be hell. But I need to just buckle down, study, and if worse comes to worse, I'll just not do the assignments, considering how much more important the midterms are. I need to keep up my average.
Cheers everyone,
- Kastom
