lol, you coulda still made money had you stayed in your own place (mind you, depending on where, you may only have enough leftover for textbooks, like me comin' outta Montreal, lol), but I guess going to Chica-go would made a sizeable hole in your wallet. Have fun, and I hope your doing this internet stuff on breaks, lol.
You left too fast in chat today (as usual), so here's a "Later"...jerk!
But more seriously, it is a good philosophical study of relativism. The chapter when he discusses rationality and relativism rekindled ideas that I already had in my head, but couldn't quite get a grip on.
And to be fair, he discusses the pros and cons of relativism. You don't really get a lopsided account of anything, really. Of course, when he mentions names like Wittgenstein, Kuhn, and Rorty, you know I'm gonna love this book.

Nice! I had almost forgotten about that book! I need to check out some striclty Relativistic philosophy books soon (both proprieters of as well as naysayers).
Hahahaha, well then you'll be pleased to know that I am currently reading "In Search of Time" by Dan Falk. While it may not have any equations, it does eventually get into some physics and philosophy stuff. Though still, it is a pretty simple book. I see it as easing myself back into reading crazy complicated books, lol.
Please tell me that you're also reading complicated books, as well. It would make me sad to know that you're not reading something that doesn't contain dense jargon or formulas.
I long for the independant life as well, but we share the common obstacle. One of these days...
Glad to finally hear from ya! Good to know that you had a bit of time off, it sounded that you were really busy all the time before.
...Now get back to work, for Chicago moneyz.

@Kastom:
I just checked it out on Chapters, and it looks good. You're clear for takeoff.
By the way, I already read Relativism by O'Grady. It reminded me of why I always like to keep one foot in relativism.
