Dude, I just saw that nugget and if I could have taken a step back away from that comment box, I did. =/ I can't even fathom how they would work that without legal analysis myself.
Haha, when I signed in I went to that news item right away, before even going to the backroom to check for updates and stuff. I left a comment, so I guess I anticipated you there. I'm not sure if it'll help, but that's as far as I can get at the moment, without having to go into further legal documents like you did (ah, such fun!).
I guess my stance right now is a wait-and-see one. We really can't do much more than wait for an outcome, and then see if it's sufficiently clear enough to set a precedent. However, considering this is law we're talking about, sufficiency may not be strong enough (they love their "necessities" as much as logicians do!).
I guess we'll have to tell n00bs to gtfo when we're in chat, or we'll have to stfu--or the reverse. Or better yet: We can talk non-stop about the foundation of mathematics and methodologies of science, so no one will ever attempt to talk to us!

Well I went ahead and read the comments; posted my own too (which hopefully doesn't come off as horribly uninformed or ignorant XP).

I personally enjoyed the legal analysis, even if it did fry your brain.
