But yeah, I do think that it's possible he can pull it off, but I still have to say that I AM rather worried. Especially after reading them a bunch again, I'm feeling more that Cera just doesn't have the...loud idiot part. He's got the like, cute that every girl likes, innocent, and lame idiot parts all down, but I don't know if he can pull of what (is in my mind) the most important part, and that is his loud, speaking without thinking idiocy.
Hey, don't I count as one of your Scott Pilgrim friends? I seem to recall introducing you to the books. :P
I don't have high hopes for the movie, to be honest. I love Michael Cera, but this is not the role for him. I think of Scott Pilgrim as someone who is simultaneously awesome and incredibly lame, but as you said, Cera mostly plays characters fitting the latter descriptor.
Probably still going to see it because it's an amazing series.
Yeah, that's the one thing all my Scott Pilgrim friends and I have talked about. Scott Pilgrim is an idiot, but he's loud. Michael Cera is typecasted to be an awkward idiot (or possible smart) and quiet. As long as Cera can pull of being loud and an idiot, it will be amazing.

But, we'll see eh?
I'd rather see in shades of gray.

Hahahahahaha, totally! I didn't even think of that! XD
Also, you have to read them this summer. I'll bring them down to Waterloo.

Hahaha 'Sex Bob-omb'. Reminds me of our old band 'Sex Parliament'.

If Michael Cera can avoid his typecast and be not-stupid I might consider watching. The premise sounds great.
