Worry about it for a little while, then move on--provided that you've put some worthwhile thoughts into the whole affair. What can't be helped, can't be helped. (I know that sounds tautologous, but some things are like that, after the fact.) Just try and discern those situations where you can do something from those you can't. You'll get the hang of it, I'm sure.
AAAAAAAGH. I am raging SO HARD at the optometrist thing. I don't even have WORDS for how RIDICULOUS that is! What the hell?! Man, you should not feel bad about that one. I totally know what you mean about her talking to you like you're retarded, though. I've met really bitchy women who talk down to everyone like that, and it's just about the most irritating thing one can do.
Also, I wouldn't worry about the girl. You could ask your friend to get her contact info from his girlfriend, or not. You probably don't pick up on it because your ego isn't actually as big as you make it out to be, but there are plenty of women who'd love to date you. :)
I laughed at your typo of "Time Hortons." It sounds like a TIME-TRAVELLING DONUT SHOP!!
Well, I'ma agree with Ryu in his closing sentence. Who knows, ya might just end up going out with all those people again, and you can talk it out then. If ya get knocked down in life, you better get the hell back up, or you won't get anywhere (paraphrasing a quote from Batman Begins, LOL:P). And that optometrist place of your is weird, being open closed, but still being able to get in? WTH man, that makes zero sense.
I actually consider my anti-socialism a kind of gift, as opposed to the many times I would consider it a curse. We can work on this kind of thing, so that we can get along with people easy enough and be likable, yet still be awkward in certain situations. Being overly social would be the worst. I can't imagine going through more relationships than I can remember. It makes the relationships I do have that much more worthwile and valuable. So instead of being depressed on what could have been, look forward to what will be.

. . . . . damn, man. That's a rough bunch of days.
Good thing you're a bit better today, huh? Life marches on and such. It's lame like that.

I hope this makes things a little bit brighter: Physics of the Impossible by Michio Kaku.
Since you're contemplating anime and physics, why not read a physicist's own ideas on science fiction? I love this guy's work.

You'll get good at the whole thing eventually; don't worry. Until then, welcome to the club.
Be true, be you and of course, be otaku.

Dont worry Kastom, you are among the friends in the socially inept club. That is one of the definitions of Otaku, after all.
