You are so right I was sad when Heihachi and Kyuzo died in Samurai 7. I had already loved the anime, but making me feel SOMETHING is what makes me love the anime. And I think that goes for everyone, it isn't a good anime unless it makes you feel something.
The same goes with movies, the best movies are either full of anything that helps you get emotional, and that's why it's good. That's also why scary and horror movies don't do better than dramas and chick flicks.
Video games are also really good aat making me cry. Aeris' death in FFVIIor even Asch's death in TOA made me weep like a baby. I think that as long as people can feel anything, it makes them think that that genre whether it's movies, anime, video games, books, etc.
Thiswas a good topic, and Iagree 100% with you. Good Job!
