I was about to contradict a point in your essay,but I noticed that you wrote it in the very last sentences. I wanted to say that those to sacrificethemselve, are heroes themselves because they sacrificed themselves to do something they believed was right, to sacrifrice themselves to help the heroe, the one that can achieve the ultamate goal.

Nana agrees with you about those who sacrifice themselves for the hero. She has thought about it some in the past, especially with her being in the military and people everywhere calling us heroes.
