It was Friday night – or Saturday morning, depending on how you looked at time. The large metropolis was silent in the wee hours, the occasional car driving through and disturbing the hushing blanket. Street lights hummed with their fluorescent ...

Can you all please stop chiding me on my test message thing? Jesus Christ, I know it's dumb. You sure as hell don't have to tell me that. >_>
Afterall, I was the idiot that did it.
Yesterday, me and my fellow AP art groupees went to Chicago to visit the art institute. I got sunburned, but that's beside the point.
After me, Brian, and Jazz went to the wrong train station (Brian was driving and going by directions his dad had given him, rather than following are street-guide Mita; it ended up being no big deal because it was just one stop before the other one), we were promptly asked by some guy if we "had a light". Errr...no, sorry. Also, since it was day one of the cross-town classic of Cubs versus Sox (Cubs won, hur hur), there were a bunch of baseball fans drinking beer.
At 8:30am.
So down to Union Station we went and off to the museum we go. After being prohibited from crossing the street by a salesman (and me singingg with him to "Stop! In The Name of Love"), we skipped across the way before entering the confines.
Then we split into two groups - I went off with Brian and Blythe - and explored. I found my love for the old-school medieval artwork (the ones that tend to be religious) and felt a bit shameful for ridiculing the stuff from later centuries ("too flat!" "too muddy!" "too blah!"). Then I discovered my distaste for Andy Warhol and it was all good.
Starving by noon, we made our way to Giordanos, ordered two pizzas and garlic bread, and polished them off. Our original plan was to maybe go back to the art institute. It never happened.
We explored Millennium Park and took several pictures of both the cityscape and the Bean. Two of our group had to leave, so we bid them farewell before going off to Grant Park and Lake Michigan.
After those two, we went to State Street, bummed around Macy's (me sticking around Brian, because the other three were more interested in purses and shoes), found the Blick art store (I was in pure bliss), went to some basement-outlet, and stopped in at a Charlotte Rouse, wherein I bought a short-sleeved jacket for eight bucks.
We made our way back to the station before getting on the train and then talking about...very strange things. Oh man...
Mita and Amanda were the first to leave, since they had gone to the correct train station, while me, Jazz, and Brain hopped off at the next. Brian gave me a ride home after dropping Jazz off.
THE FOLLOWING ARE SHOUJO TAGS
The whole trip, I had wanted to tell him all the feelings and stuff, but the opportunity just never came. I remember going through Millenium Park when suddenly, my heartbeat sped up and I became so nervous, but then it subsided. Again on the train home, it occurred, but I neglected to act on it. While driving home, I so wanted to say something, yet whenever I tried to, we ended up talking or joking about something else.
Finally, when we got back to my house, I took a breath and said "...Hey, Brian." I looked at him, he looked at me (the expression something like "....o_o?"), but I became so flustered that I just bolted out of the car and went inside.
Angry at myself, I sent him a text message, which was probably the lamest way to do it.
Next trip idea is going to the Brookfield zoo. I know. XD
Errr...one month anniversary of the con? 8D *tomato'd* SORRY! Dx
