Detroit Metal City is pure comedic awesome. I've read a ton of the manga and still need to finish the anime/live action movie. For some reason, since reading/watching the series I've been plagued by the DMC acronym. It shows up EVERYWHERE now. Thanks, Detroit. Thanks a lot.
It's kind of a Japanese version of Metalocalypse, in a way, so I think having seen that before meant I didn't drop it right away. That and since it's so short, I wanted to see if I could actually watch the whole thing. I'm not as forgiving as Kat on the rating though, I gave it a 4/10, but then bumped it up to 5/10 to be a bit more fair.

I LOVE Detroit Metal City. Personally, I think it's the funniest anime I've ever seen, but it also zeroes in on my sense of humor. :p
The funniest thing about it is that it's basically a really filthy sitcom.
