Well, it depends. Your icon right now? Fine, just fine. I have no problems with it. I think it's more the awkward close-ups of actors that are like "FACE" that really bother me.

Don't worry, I'm the same way. I go jonesin' for icons every now and then, but I never save too many. Just a few here and there that I actually know I'll use at some point. 'Cause after all, what's the point of hoarding them if'n ya ain't gonna use 'em?

I actually tend to go for icons with close-ups, or at least one featured character. I don't like a lot of clutter.
Totes with you on the text thing, though. I don't even like icon text when it accompanies a picture.
