Thank you for teaching me the ways of book buying. Last semester I spent $500 in books for FOUR classes.
I mean, I love reading books and all, but this is just unacceptable.
What gets me is just how insanely expensive books for school are these days. Not only are they made cheaper than crap but you pay waaaay too much money for them.
It's sad but when I got my degree the most expensive book I bought was around $40 and a lot of them were hardback and didn't fall apart when a stiff breeze blew across the room. Seriously, I could buy books for the entire semester for less than what you all pay for one freaking book. It's absurd.
Of course gas ran to the tune of a dollar a gallon too so pfffft. I'll just stop here cause all I'm doing is proving I really am older. LOL
I dont like the buying books thing either. Totally sucks. When I was out west in Wyoming my tuition was pretty all inclusive, and our material ever changing(Car stuff changes so fast) all of our "texts" were nothing but print outs I stuffed into binders.
My computer classes a while back? Not so lucky, but like you, I found really cheap alternatives on Amazon.
