Ah so this was a little joke from your teacher. Congrats.
As you said it all depends on what the person asked you to do, like if she ask you to do a site entirely (graphics, coding, the programs you use and put it to work, e.g on MySQL) the price usually raises. It also depend on the graphics and how much time/hard will be for to do it.
My humble opinion is, if you're starting now and are not very well known on this market, make your prices accessible to everyone that way you'll gain clients more quickly and when you're finally established you do as you please.
I cannot give you a example on how you should put your work on sale but you browse around the net you'll get an idea.
I can however help you by giving you a link of a website that has webpages on sale:
www.flashmint.com
You'll see the different prices they have there according to the work that was done and the quality.
Can't help you on the websites, I'm afraid. But if you poke around enough, there's got to be some information out there that you could use to get an idea of what would be appropriate. (I suppose it's easier to find out the going rate for something like babysitting, haha.)
I'm still hung up on that fraction... then again, I've always had trouble understanding how people can attach a numerical grade to an English or history paper.
