Jeezus, I feel so freakin' young now. Everyone who posted here seems like they were in high school (or very close to it) when 9/11 happened.
I mean, I'm a freshman. But I was in 2nd grade when it happened. I remember being so happy that school was out, but not understanding the magnitude of what had happened. I still can't really grab a sense of what the adults must have thought. I get parts of it, but... I guess when you were old enough to understand what was going on, it was a lot bigger of an impact on you.
I totally forgot today was the 11th. I remember reminding myself to remember, but it wasn't until I was at the bus stop and I asked the guy at my stop if there was any holiday today, because we didn't have our newspaper. He said it was the 11th, but we probably should still be getting paper... Turns out it was already inside. But I'm glad he told me then, because there was an announcement on it in school.
Alright, I'll stop blabbin' and filling up space. P:

I was in my second year of college when it happened. I remember the day clearly. I had heard that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center, but I assumed it was a small plane that just hit accidentally. It wasn't until one of my classes decided to go down to the caffeteria and watch the news on the TVs that I finally understood the magnitude of what happened. One of my friends was scared for a friend of hers who was visiting New York at the time. She was pretty shaken up and wanted to go home. The teacher had pretty much dissolved class for that day, so I walked my friend to her car and we talked for an hour or so. I think I left shortly after that too.
Later that evening when the news kept repeating the crashes and tower collapses over and over, it really began to hit me, and I felt so sick I couldn't eat dinner. ._.

I was a senior in High School at the time, I couldnt believe it when I heard about what was happening. I was on the way between 1st period and Advisory(home room), and just happened to glance at the tv in the cafeteria while FOX NEWS was covering what happened.
We were shocked, confused, a little scared, and wondered "What next?"
Seven years, its still so fresh in my mind. I still dont understand what I witnessed. I dont think anybody will.

I was a sophomore in high school when it happened. I remember watching the plane crashes on TV in the morning; my parents were horrified, and I could barely comprehend the enormity of what I saw. Memories of the day after that are kind of hazy -- I can remember the beginning of my Spanish II class (first class of the day) OK, but everything else is just a blank.
Yes, years passing is a sad thing. I was in 8th grade that year. Math class, and all the teachers freaked out. My dad was actually in Washington DC that day (no where the Pentagon), and had a hard time getting back. My brother was worried sick. I don't remember what I felt. It was like, okay, those towers aren't there anymore. I'd never seen them in person, and never been to them, but everyone was making a big deal about it. It was strange.
Time always spirals, and here I am, stuck in the wrong sprial.
