Don't worry, we're all here for you!
Ah, the crush thing. Been there. My main problem though was the fact that the girl strung me along too...
Ahhh, don't worry about "scoping" out! Mwhahaha, my friends and I do it ALL THE TIME. Then again, we are supposed to be "shallow" guys so...meh...ahhahahaha
lol.
Oh me oh my! Katana on the prowl indeed! Hahahaha...but really, nice! Sure, the girl being older is out of the norm, especially in high school as you said, but really, it's not that big of a deal, especially if it's only 2 years. I've known quite a few guys that have gone out with girls a year or two older than them. Heck, I almost did myself.
Always a good thing to think things over. Typing out thoughts, or talking them over with other people is a really good way to help sort through exactly what you think and how you feel.
To whatever you decide, I'm sure it'll work out. Good luck Kat!

I wouldn't start worrying about the age thing/going off to college while he's in high school deal until you two actually start doing some form of dating.
And hey, I've had a female friend who was dating someone four years her junior. That particular case I found a bit... yeah.
Anyway, tis good you aren't letting yourself get all mopey about this. It's quite natural, too, to once in awhile look around and see, "Well hey, the two of us might be compatible." I've started doing that myself... maybe it's a girl thing? >.>
The age difference is something I thought about and something that bothered me, especially because I'd be going off to college in less than a year. However, I am only going to a school that's roughly a half-hour away, so even if it came down to that...Gah, that's just weird for me to think about. x_x
In the real world, two years is nothing. In school world, it's a lot. Grumble.

Heh, Phil is definitely a kindred spirit in the geek department. XD You should get him online sometime, I want to have a Doctor Who spazz-out with him. *shot*
I agree with Gome. There's nothing technically wrong with the age thing, although it is a bit more pronounced considering you both are still teens. The issue is what would happen after you had to leave and he was still in high school, unless you plan on going to a college very nearby or in your home town.

At least boys aren't afraid of you. Pardon me as I go back in my life of doomed alone...ness
Huzzah! That's how I'm like!
Except...you know...girls instead, lol.
I'd rather see in shades of gray.

The age thing won't matter in a few years anyway. But that's getting ahead of ourselves here.
I have seen stranger romances, so hey. Give it a go, why not?
