Incidentally, I have a recording session out of town tonight and am not likely to return until ten-thirty in the evening. So here's hoping for next week!
Heck, I've known this one girl for over one year now. We started off as friends and have gradually grown closer, but we're not in a relationship of that sort yet.
You bet I want to be in a relationship with her... though, she lives 100 miles away.
There are two or three other guys after her too.
I also get the feeling she views me more as a friend (LOL FRIENDZONE) than a potential "suitor." -_-
I don't let all of the above stop me. Plus, I have more seniority over two guys and the other dug himself into his own hole. I'm on favorable terms with her mom, too.
Because I'm strongly considering joining the service, that could really affect this all a certain way.
Winning her over is the first step. Maintaining something more between us -- that's the main course.
A lack of experience sets me back a degree, but I never let it dictate my potential success.
We met only once and that was at Anime Expo last year. This year, I have the means to make more of an impression on her than last year and possibly visit her more.
I can't pass this opportunity up.
Well, there you go. There's my story. >>"
As for you, I can't help but support you because I see nothing wrong with it and I've sorta been there before. People may direct an "lol internet" stigma to you both, but if the love is the same as "traditional" courting and relationships, then it's all good.
From the way you speak about it, you have an optimistic, yet slightly cautious tone about it. (I don't think 'cautious' is even the right word. It sounds too strong for what I'm trying to describe. Please understand this.) That's good. I hope it's a positive experience for you both overall.
Long distance relationships work only if you work at it. What I mean is: talking at least once just about every other day and visiting eachother. Hey at least you two MET! That is one thing that keeps something like an internet relationship going strong. I come from experience. That and continuely being honest with eachother and do things 'together.' What Derrick and I did once was watch the third Pirates movie together over webcam. Little things like that helps keeps the relationship interesting until you guys can meet up again. I wish you both the best of luck. It's going to be an interesting and wild ride. What with all the katrolling and screeaming nipples at eachother and all. =3 I am excited for you both!

Long distance relationships work, but only if you want them too.
I've been in one for almost 9 months now. :)

Interesting... Gah, I don't know what else to say! ^^; All you can do is take it as it goes and see how things work.
