I just don't see this chance coming up very often - I once said that my boyfriend would have to be a geek. Not only that, but he'd have to like anime, video games, and MST3K (the third being a bonus).
I have the same hopes for a future girlfriend. ^^ Or at the very least, if she wasn't into something, I could manage to get her into it. X3

We missed you last night! ;_;
Hm, well it's a good thing your mom didn't throw a fit or anything. And I can understand where's she's coming from, but in the end all you can do is follow your feelings wherever they lead you. ^^
Ah, MST was so great last night. The first one in a while that I actually didn't feel my brain melting.
"Bring Pearl back!"
"She gave us a mint!"
Damn, I'd invite myself (heh, I'm terrible) to go with you to Chicago tomorrow, but I have saxophone lesson. :( Have fun with Timber.
Knowing your dad, I think he'll have the same reaction as your mom, especially if he knows she's cool with it. Good to know that you're getting rid of those potential speedbumps early on, although telling them the day of Kastom's arrival would be more entertaining.

I'm definitely going to at least order a badge for Youmacon before June 30th, then see if I can rack up enough money from there. Can't wait.

Luckily by this point, my parents are used to me bringing you guys up in conversation. I make vague references, though, such as "my friend in Michigan" or something. Occasionally I'll bring you folks up in not such vague terms, and my dad is now used to me and my "Sunday night movie watching group". XD
Well, I'm glad things went relatively smooth with your mom. I have a tough enough time with my mom not scoffing when I bring you guys from the 'net up in normal conversation, so I can't imagine what it would be like telling her I'm dating someone from the internet. >>
...and, yes... too much estrogen in the circles cause problems. D: Girls get catty and hold grudges and stuff; guys beat each other up and are friends again. Life is much, much simpler with the Martians around. :D
YOUMACON~~~ Oh, the excitement! X3 It needs to be October. Now...

It sucked that you weren't able to make it to Movie Sign, but it happens to all of us :P
@ telling your mom about Kastom:
Good for you! I never would have been able to do that seeing as to how my mom believes that everyone on the internet is out to get me. It's good that she didnt like...have a fit or anything :P

Good that you're letting your parents know. Boyfriends are kinda big deals (at least I think they are o_O).

My mom totally flips shit when we (Sara and I) talk about net friends. She's like 'YOUR WHAT?!' whenever I mention stuff about 'my gay husband'.
I always end up missing Movie Sign due to family and/or my busted lappy.
Also... BRING THE RAIN BACK! I'm sweating my figurative balls off!

That does sound like a nice schedule. Congrats.
Also great that your mom didn't flip about Tom. May you have better luck than I did.
...It would be that I come late to that Movie Sign and you guys actually do Youmacon planning. *headdesk*

I was actually thinking about asking you to come with me tomorrow. >_>; But you're busy, okay. If you can worm out of it, though, tell me. XD
