A drama llama day

(Warning, strong language in this post.)

So yesterday was, ah, interesting, and involved an event that I ever so casually just decided to drop into the description on one of my recent art pieces. Cool stuff.

To sum it up, I don't have a roommate anymore. She is totally and completely gone. And this is the story why, and why I was fearing for my life for a few hours.

My roommate was a bit of a neurotic person, pissed off at the world, most likely a druggie, and very uncompliment. Oh, she and I got along just fine, and we'd talk and help each other out with stuff, but we weren't exactly friends.

Well, the past month or so, her time being in the room became a bit more sparatic and on nights where she was supposed to be here, she wouldn't be. She hardly said anything to me, and I began wondering, well, what I did. But everything I kept on doing were things I had been doing the whole year. Nothing about me had changed.

Yesterday morning, I woke up at about 7:15, which is way early and even before my first alarm. She was awake, on her cell, talking to someone, whining and complaining and just generally bitching about how she wanted to get out of here, about how everyone here sucked, about how she couldn't stand to be here anymore. I pretend to be asleep, wait for her to leave the room, then move around a bit before going back to sleep.

I wake up to my real-alarm at 8:55, only to hear her shouting her pseudo-ghetto whines into her phone, though this time it was to her dad. I realize that she is not in the room, and later found out she was in the lounge. (The lounge is halfway down the floor from where we are, for reference.) She is almost-sobbing (and perhaps even had some tears) and telling her dad to "just come, just pick me up, just help move me out, I'll commute to the rest of my classes, I want to get the fuck out of here" everyone here is such a bitch, blah blah etc.

I'm assuming her dad asked her "what about your roommate?", because the next thing she said was "You know what that bitch did to me?! That bitch locked me out of the room when I was taking a shower! I had to go down to the front desk looking like a drowned rat to ask to be let in and they fucking charged me!"

'Oh lovely,' I thought. 'That's me.' Then I got to thinking as to when this happened, and I just honestly can't think of a time. If she leaves the room, I know she has left the room, and leaving with your showering supplies is pretty freaking obvious. If I come to the room and the door is unlocked, I know that she must be somewhere, probably in the bathroom, and I won't lock it if I leave. The thing is, I rarely come back to the room if it's going to be for less than ten minutes, since the effort isn't worth it. And other than that...I really just don't know.

As for the fine, I found out that it was only $10 (because she's a repeat offender on this). Even before I knew this, I'm thinking, 'Okay, if you had told me, I'd offer to pay half the fine, or something'. But no, she just whines and bitches so loud that the whole complex could hear her.

So I got out of bed, got ready, and left the room at 9am, something I never do. She saw me, both of us said nothing; I just went down to the Trident and actually ate some breakfast. Still feeling a bit on-edge, I left for the art building early and hung out with some friends who had class at 10am. I really, honestly, didn't feel safe going back to the room.

After work, I ate lunch with Terumi and Jiaqi, then went to the VCB to get some pastels. I was going to hang out in the North computer lab, but that was full, so I waited for Terumi to come back from class. It didn't take long, and we ended up hanging out outside with some people for about two hours. My saving grace came from my friend Jax who has 3:30 class with my roommate and telling her to text me if she was there or not.

And she was! When I came back to the room, all her stuff was totally packed, bed stripped, everything just gone. That's when I started doodling the picture I posted. Went to 3D class, went out to dinner with my friends, came back, and the room on her side is completely barren. I started shuffling some things over to that side (mainly putting the TV over there) and just kinda going "...huh".

Really, I don't think I was a major contributing factor in this. It's really the batshitness that was who my roommate is. It really wasn't much of a shocker, but hot damn, I was afraid to even see her. So I kept telling people "my roommate wants to kill me" for the whole day.

And now you've heard it too.
