I am thinking of holding a fanart contest for all three of my manga series (Fear to Love, Full Curse, and Kitty Days). Though they are not all as far along as others. I thought I do a little something to generate interest and have some fun. Basically, the contest is that you'll draw your favorite character from one of the three series (or two or all three if you like!) doing whatever it is that inspires you (Of course, let's keep it within the acceptable limits here at theO... =>.>=). You may enter up to three entries per series (only if you want to do that many... it's just a ceiling =^_^=). So that I know, please put "Kitty K.O.'s contest" or "Kitty K.O." as a tag, so that I can find them. One first prize winner and a runner up for each series will be chosen (Of course, if there are no entries for a series, it will sadly have be to un-included) First-prize winners will get a full-color artwork of anything they request (since I'll be posting it on theO, please keep it rated theO... though I wouldn't mind drawing something a little more risque =^w^=). Runner-ups will get a sketch of anything they wish. I did make bookmarks for Kitty Days, but since no one bought any, I'll probably throw in a complimentary bookmark (I have Rei, Sai, Miu, and Keri with the three kittens) of the winner(s)' choosing. I'll put up an official fanart to further announce the start of the contest. Of course, if you wanna get a leg up now, that's good too. Most likely, it'll start next week and end at the end of the following week.
Hope to hear from those who want to participate. Please comment if you think it's a good idea and would like to participate. Tell anybody else you know here so that we can have a decently sized contest. I will not start the contest if not enough people are interested. Please and thank you. I found out that it is a large possibility that the CGT (for those who don't know, that's "Computer Graphics Technology") program is on the verge of being dumped. Meaning that someone like me, a graphic design major, will also be dumped. I was just getting used to college and now this goes and happens! *pfft* I suggested to my mother about switching my major to art, and she said, "Are you kidding? How many jobs out there do you know that are hiring art majors?" *sigh* I'm just doing my best with what little bit I know about the world. I think the real world loves me, because it seems to be trying to pull me closer to it. I'd feel differently if the real world were Hyde or Gackt. Man... well, I have a slight backup plan, but I'm not going to rant about it at the risk of couting my chickens before they hatch. Mmm... chicken...
Well, I didn't really meet the guy I had in mind, but one of my classmates did come up and talk to me out of the blue. Well, I gotta go to class. Laterz. =^^=
Well, my bf and I are no longer dating, but we are still keeping in contact. It feels kind of weird to be single again... like, now I'm living a WHOLE other life. Hm...
I got an opportunity to get my manga published. I was really excited. Unfortunately, it's rather expensive, so I can't do anything. I'ma bit disappointed, because the guy I was talking to was called Yanni, and he had a cat. I thought he sounded really nice. =^^= He said my artwork was really good. But here's the thing... this publishing company is not specializing in manga. Yanni'd never even heard of manga before, so when I sent him a page of Kitty Days, he went "Oh, it's a comic strip!" Lol. Well, he was fun to talk to while it lasted. Not like I'd ever meet the guy, because the company is in Philadelphia. *sigh* I don't get that lucky. Nothing out of a romantic manga has ever happened to me, at least not anything out of the ordinary like meeting someone far away and then getting together. Ahaha =^_^;= I'm rambling. I guess it was just a simple, quick, over-the-phone infatuation. Lol I shouldn't get those... Still...
I was able to download episodes 1-3 of GinTama. Yay! It's so funny! I love GinTama! =^^= I can't wait to get the next group of episodes! *humming the Fuusen Gum kuchakucha ending theme* Lol I think that song is cute. =^_^=

I followed a link here on the-O to this site called fanlib.com. I saw a trailer for this one book called Wake, and thought it looked interesting. Here have a looksee...

Well, I'm back at college (of course, not at the moment...). I think my Spring Break was worse then going to classes. I got a headache every day except Thursday. Plus, I got really sad at the end of it, feeling useless and like I'm not doing anythin constructive with my life. =-_-;= I thought I could cheer myself up by watching Howl's Moving Castle on Sunday when it came on the CN, but my bf called and wanted to talk (I told him repeatedly that I wanted to watch the movie!) So I missed really getting into it. Not only that, but the movie itself dredged up old feeligns of watching anime and feeling sad and lonely wishing that something like that would happen to me. So that day and yesterday I was feeling empty and lonely. On the bright side, though, I got to see four people that I rarely get to see and consider friends. =^^= Yay. That cheered me up. I think maybe I missed college a little. At least it gave me something to do. I guess it didn't help that I watched Battle Royale (the live action movie) on Saturday, either. It really freaked me out and disturbed me to no end. But, the teacher guy was kinda funny.
I didn't exactly get the work done on my manga like I thought I would. Being sick at the beginning of Spring Break depressed me, so I really didn't feel like doing much of anything. However I did get one page fully inked and am close getting another one inked as well. =^^= I just gotta use my time more wisely. I really do love making manga, but I've gotta be more productive. If I can be super productive while balancing everything else, just imagine how productive I could be when I have the whole day!
I know, I'm ranting, but that's the purpose of this world. You were warned in the introduction. =^^=
