It's actually faster to get lines down since you don't have to erase as much. You do have to adjust curves here and there, but it's quick and simple. It only takes long if you try to be a perfectionist like me XD;;

I guess you would have to really know what you are doing to get that correct, I know I would have the patience so that's out for me.
I just took a look at the site and I think it's a cute design!
I also think that your version of the mascot matches pretty well, so you shouldn't have any problems at all!

It can get frustrating sometimes... But there's always a tradeoff. The vector lines give you a more crisp look, but they can do some really wonky things if you're not careful =T

Well, sometimes it's good to change things up a bit.

No, they didn't give us a scheme, they just said "Use the existing mascot" I used the colors in the mascots costume to match. And the kitty was in the ramen bowl. So this is based off previous designs from last year's artists. Here, here's the website for the con, you should see what I mean.

I know, it's because I used Illustrator XD So it's a vector work instead of raster (Photshop, PT Sai, etc). Still, that's like a tiny bit saddening XD; Lol, but I was trying a different style, anyway X3

Thank you~! =D I can't take full credit, because the mascot, kitty, bowl, and letters' colors were designed by others. So I followed the color scheme for those with slight adjustments here and there.
