Ah, that makes sense about having to stay home. It sounded like you have a lot of ideas, at least for stuff to do online and with conventions and stuff.
Let us know if you're feeling down again. Ganbatte!
That's terrible!! TT^TT I hope that never happens to you! TT^TT
Here are a few ideas (which you probably already have) on how you could get money online:
Art contests
Interesting youtube videos (think of something that they don't have on youtube and do it that you think will still get lots of views)
Tutorials of any kind (I think you can sell a few 'how to' things or stuff on anything that you have expertise on)
And all the stuff you've said. I think it can be possible, but I feel it might take a while...;m;
I do have a deviantart account. One of my ideas was to use that new digital sale feature to sell some things, like maybe manga chapters. Like, people could see a preview in my gallery and if they like it, they could buy the whole chapter for a certain amount to read on their comp whenever they want. See my main problem is that I'd planned to get a "regular" job right after college to save up some money, but problems in our family require me to be at home to help take care of my father. And my mom has trouble keeping up with him by herself, sometimes. So getting a part time or full time job might not allow me to be here when I'm needed, see? Which is why if I can find a steadier way to make money online, it won't matter where I am. I can be here when I'm needed and work when I'm not helping here.
The youtube thing was actually one of my ideas. I planned to do some old school video-game playthroughs at the least to get my number of videos up. Perhaps I'll do that... I think for now, we'll be okay... But we were all having a moment yesterday. Mom seems to feel better today. I do too, in a way. I think I'll get the youtube thing together soon, within the next month or so. It's going to be busy over the next few weeks what with preparing for the convention. I'm cohosting a panel on our review show of My Little Pony. So I thought I'd do artwork to give away in a raffle and those that don't win can commission me to do some other artworks for them. That was my general plan on that. Also, I'm helping with a con event and if I get a callback, also a fashion show... A lot of stuff =@_@=
Gomen Kitty-san. That sounds like a really tough situation to be in. It's hard to be the one supporting everyone else when you need support yourself.
Have you tried getting a job at Wal-mart? Or working at Petco or Petsmart would at least be interesting to work at if you like animals? If you have a deviant art account maybe you could post your sketch commissions there? I think you might have more success with people actually buying it there. Or you could make a youtube college video of your artwork and post it, then offer to sell stuff?
sorry to hear about your situation Q_Q
i think unless you're unbelievably fast, commisions probably wont be a good source of income.
no fast food joints like McDonalds around?
i hear you can make money off youtube if you get lots of hits/views? (not sure ^^)
i hope life changes for the better soon Q______Q
good luck
